Morning Everyone, didn't see a thread started so thought I'd get one going. Still hoping Belle is doing okay and will be back.  I am down .4 - no idea how but I'll take it. I was expecting another gain.

Hoping you all stay safe and healthy this week.

Robin

Hi all!

Robin ~ thanks for starting the thread. Where can Belle be? I'm getting worried.

Good for you losing when you thought you'd gain!

I was bad again this past week so am up 0.6 lbs but enjoyed the chocolate eggs & chips that did it.

Now I'm almost at the point where I need to lose 25 lbs to be where I want to be.

Have a good day & keep safe. What a life changer this virus has turned out to be!!

Hello,

Robin, thanks for starting the thread. Glad you lost.

Jo, well, small gain. Me too, worried about Belle.

I lost 1 lbs. haven't been this low on the scale in a while. Hmm….not cruising, lock self in house, my new weight loss strategy😏

Stay well. Diana

Thanks for starting us, Robin.  Congrats to you and Diana on your losses.  Jo, at least you recognized and enjoyed the reason for the gain 😉

We miss you, Belle ❤️

I lost what I gained from the last weigh-in - yay! But I'm still at the plateau I was before - boo 😞 My endoscopy went well today, but they couldn't see anything causing my problem.  Hopefully I can just ignore it now since I know it is just in my head 🤷‍♀️

I will travel to get DD from college this weekend.  I might not be on much the next few weeks as I try to conserve bandwidth/internet speed for the at home students and work from home husband.  At least I can get a lot of cleaning and organizing done - maybe some road miles too since we live in a rural area and I can be outside while still social distancing.

Here are my goals again:

This weeks stats:

Start: 208.6 (1/9/20) This week: 204.6

Goal 5/14 (next cruise - maybe😞 20# loss - 16# remaining

Goal 10/22 (just after 25th anniversary): another 25# loss

Goal end of year: finish weight of 155#

Hey y'all. I'm down .2 not sure how. Was sure I'd be up. That is a 1.4 loss in a month. Good job on the lossed Robin and Diana. Hang in there Jo - I love the chocolate/peanut butter Reeses eggs. PA good job on getting back down and good news about your endoscopy.

I've been at work all week. Will be home tomorrow and my gym closed after my workout last night...UGH now that stressed me out....

I seem to be up 0.2#  .... It could have been worse though.  DH is now home ... only working for emergencies now ... we went for a walk (with the dog) ... It was nice ... I walked about 2,000 steps.  (about a mile at least).

Hope Belle is ok!  Jan

Congrats on the small loss Jenny.  I hear you on the gym stress!  My highest weight at home is a 15# kettle bell - I was using 15# dumb bells for most of my low weight exercises.  My husband's lowest dumb bell tended to be 25# and many exercises were 50#.  Not to mention machines!

yep and I went to price a few things for home and YIKES...I have bands and know how to program workouts but it's tough for me to get motivated at home. I wish I was a runner but I DISLIKE it and it's not good for my knees....Oh well...I made some Oat Bran muffins last night (got the idea from Ms. Mary's thread) those will be my treat while at home...

Congrats to the losers.   Good job staying focused during all this craziness.   I stayed the same.  A lot of stress eating, so I'm happy that I didn't gain.

I'm also very concerned about Belle.  She usually lets us know when she's going to be off the boards for a while.   I hope it's just computer issues.

Stay well, everyone.

Jenny with my hip issues I've switched to walking/speed walking rather than running.  If you are able to be outside and still maintain social distancing I think it is good to do so - the fresh air and Vitamin D has been helping me this week 🙂

Weights are definitely pricey - last I checked around $1/lb.  I've got some bands too and a friend does Beach Body and invited me to some free sample workouts, so at least that's something.  I tried one this morning and realized I really do need more cardio and core work 😮, but man was it frustrating only having 5# weights for chest press when I'm used to 20 🙄

Thanks for letting me whine a bit - I know my problems really aren't that bad in the big picture.

My at-home fitness plan crashed on Thursday -- literally 😞  I broke three ribs on my left side in a motor scooter accident.  Just getting up and down from my chair is going to have to be my workout for the foreseeable future.  The silver lining (I guess) is that the pain has decreased my appetite substantially, so as long as I focus on healthy nutrition, my weight should stay the same (maybe even go down a bit).  Although I'm pretty sure NCL is going to cancel our 19 April Panama Canal cruise, I want to stay with this group, and hope that our November Transatlantic will actually take place.

Jenny and pacruise, good losses.

Jan, small gain but glad you are getting outside.

Rose, stay the same is a good thing.....

IRMO, so sorry for your accident. Oh my goodness. I wish you well and a speedy recovery!

For exercise I am riding my in home exercise bike 30 minutes to 50 mins. a day. I also have a couple sets of hand weights and ankle weights so using those as well. Going outside to do yardwork. Short walks now and then.

I read an article the other day from an infectious disease specialist. He was talking about keeping your immune system healthy. We all know to eat our fruits and vegetables. He also said that even just 15 minutes a day of walking (biking, aerobics) is helpful. Also 15 mins. of sun is great for Vitamin D that helps a healthy immune system.

We do what we can and hope for the best I suppose......

Have a good Sunday,

Diana

😮 Speedy recover wishes!  I agree that focusing on nutrition should help.
