The Pies were terrible, perhaps too big a game against the Eagles last weekend. We watched a recorded program from part way through the second quarter. Geelong just too good. Looking forward to the prelims next week.

So do the AFL officials and sponsors etc  going to the AFL grand final from outside of Qld have to quarantine? Or have they been granted exemptions to visit Fortress Queensland?

LOL, this is from Live score.

I don't care what the AFL calls them.

In my book, when there are 2 games played and the winners of each game face off in a final, they are semi's for me and just about every other sport as well.

NRL calls them preliminary finals too. Sorry to correct you, and for being pedantic. But it is AFL and that is what they call it. 

Look at this from AFL app - top right hand corner. PF for prelim final.

Only the ones who have quarantined already will be going Les from what I have read.

Just wanted to check in and say, in a minor miracle, we will get to see both semi's this week. Of course, they are on in the wee hours, but I am going to try and catch at least the 2nd half.

 

In other news, we finally are done with really hot temps--85 F yesterday (29 C). It will drop to the high 70s, a few 80 degree days. This is the perfect time of year. I guess you are all well into spring now, with summer just around the corner. I just read that we will have a warmer than usual winter. that means I can play more golf 😁
