PA inside on deck 11 near the central staircase and the launderette next door but one which I like. I checked the online reviews and it has everything I need, Queen size bed, fridge, tea making etc and a nice looking bathroom. Funny that I still can't download the luggage labels. Another day another cabin. Just had an upgrade to a ocean view on deck 4 as far aft as you can get on the starboard side. I wonder what is in that large white space next door with an access door. I suppose there will be no more upgrades as I can now print the luggage label. Have to do 3 blood pressure checks today and can't find the machine. Luckily I have a spare. Submit the results online so my GP practice has is using a company to check. Last time they phoned me to discuss the results and the interesting bit was when they called me Graham half way through which is not my name. They were looking at the wrong records, makes you wonder! I do my BP checks at home. The practice nurse phones me later for the numbers and says either yay or nay. It's working well for me as the numbers are fine when at home, it's only when I'm at the surgery that the BP monitor explodes.😡 Avril

I also bought the BP wrist monitor that you mentioned a while ago which is much better than the arm cuff.

Fiddling with arm cuff put my BP up before I even started😏 Is your BP any better now you're doing them yourself at home? The upper level can go to 200 ain’t front of a white coat. 140 at home!

lincslady Posted February 2, 2023 #42593 Share Posted February 2, 2023 My best breakfast - never have one nowadays - would be poached egg, crisp bacon, well cooked fresh tomato, black pudding, fried bread. I bet we all have different ones! I can't abide beans at breakfast time, most people love them. But black pudding is a must! Preferably cooked fresh, and not sitting around in a buffet. I can dream.

indiana123 Posted February 2, 2023 #42595 Share Posted February 2, 2023 Further to recent posts where due to pain and 3 virtual appointments I duly attended the private GP. He was amazing. I was there for almost half an hour, and had full examination ..even had a Nurse Chaperone, even though OH was with me. Anyway the examination was so thorough but a bit inconclusive. He thought there might be a chance of a femoral hernia, which would need to be dealt with.. Went to book a scan and they pushed me straight in. Amazing. Anyway after a total check the pain is radiating from my back, as suspected originally, due to the way I now walk and get around. Now it's just see a back specialist just for a check and refer to Pain Management. Back can't be repaired. Seriously, money well spent. But shows how dangerous virtual appointments can be when there is more than 1. I was lucky but it could have been disastrous.

Beckett Posted February 3, 2023 #42597 Share Posted February 3, 2023 Good Morning Gang I hope you are all feeling ok today - and also that new mums and babies and elderly parents are doing well. It's a gorgeous day down South today so far - very mild and brilliant sunshine. I took Ted out earlier and cut through the station car park which is completely devoid of cars. Quite spooky. I'm off to the dentist again in a minute for another dressing change on my dry socket. Over my many years I've had broken bones, broken dreams, and broken hearts but the pain from this pesky tooth removal is as bad as any I've experienced. Or perhaps I've become a total wimp in my old age. Now a question: I was awol for a long time and it's been a joy to catch up with old and new friends but one poster I've not seen is AndyMichelle. Do you know if he/ they are ok or just given up up on CCF? Best wishes all. Jane.xxx

Bought an egg and bacon double oatcake to eat at home. Cost a bit over £3:00 and absolutely delicious with a nice cup of fresh nespresso coffee.
Josy1953 Posted February 3, 2023 #42599 Share Posted February 3, 2023 It is a nice day here in Stoke too, even the temperature is risen to the giddy height of 10°c. I have decided that I need to lose some weight before my next cruise so today I have joined the local Slimming World group and the ideal weight that they say I should be based on my height is 8 lbs below my weight today so that should be achievable before the cruise.
