Purdey16 Posted March 17 #56377 Share Posted March 17 Thank you , it is a lovely place and lots of little harbours around and a huge beach to walk in perranporth , it’s funny how we get older that things don’t seem to be the same and as pretty has we remember but lots of places to visit, despite the weather we had a good time . Next on our list is to explore wales more while not cruising and then explore more of Scotland.

grapau27 Posted March 17 #56380 Share Posted March 17 (edited) Good afternoon. We have just got home after 4 lovely nights in the Lake District. This was Friday's dinner and a photo of Lake Derwent water at Keswick. Edited March 17 by grapau27
Josy1953 Posted March 17 #56381 Share Posted March 17 Just back home after a leisurely 3 hour lunch with DH's sister and brother and their spouses. It was lovely to have the chance to catch up with what everyone and their children and grandchildren are doing. The younger sister didn't come because she doesn't think that we should be keeping in touch with her estranged husband.

Lucky enough to always book a hidden little place in the centre of the village just a few yards away from the harbour... nice garden, reserved car parking and views out across the estuary... and close to all the restaurants for a meal in the evening. Good also for the ferry to Rock and the chance to do a bit of bird-watching on the dunes.
Purdey16 Posted March 18 #56399 Share Posted March 18 It’s a bit grey here this morning but we were still up early for a gas check this morning then off to do some food shopping, checked my emails this morning and I have a reply from a email I sent yesterday to Cunard for our upcoming cruise, I’m well impressed how quick I got a reply, I asked if they could let me know who the guests speakers would be on our Japan / Alaska cruise would be and we have seven speakers, not that I know any of them 😁 but I was very pleased with the response, so a tip for you Selbourne for your up coming may cruise if you would like to know because you like tour lectures.
