I was told that calories from liquids are counteracted by calories from solids. I think the same person said that Hagen das counteracts most things.

Yes I agree about the fireworks! Although I’m wondering if they’re going off now will they still be going off at midnight?!

I’m not staying up anyway. Poor John is working tomorrow and he starts  at 6am so he’s definitely not staying up!

This  Christmas I've bought a makeup kit for my Mrs ...
I told my wife she was drawing her eyebrows on far too high... She looked surprised.

A man on a tractor has just driven past our house yelling "the end of the world is nigh"

Come to think of it I don't know how to spell Armageddon .. But who cares -...

I first came to this forum to chat about cruising, and instead found a very welcoming, friendly, supportive group of friends. 2020 has been an awful year, but we have all managed to navigate our way through it with the help and kindness of our CC friends. We will soon say goodbye and good riddance  to 2020 to welcome in a more positive 2021.

Three bottles of red,  a bottle of Prosecco and a medium rare leg of lamb.

Happy new year everyone.  We went out into the street just before midnight with drink in hand, to be with our nearby neighbours making sure 2020 really did go!  Bit of a throwback to the first lockdown when we went out to clap and had a chat before going back indoors.  Great firework displays provided by various people in the locality tonight as well, so not such a bad start to what hopefully will be a far better year than this one.

 

I wish you all a very good 2021 once we get through the initial period we are in at present,

Thank you everyone for posting in 2020 and making my day more interesting reading all your comments.

Fingers crossed for a better 2021 and maybe we might get to go on a cruise
