There is usually an entertainer right outside of the casino in the bar area, at least on the Destiny and Triumph. The casino is nowhere big enough to have a band. I know the Destiny's has somewhere around 340 slot machines.

Bud:

The casino on the Glory is truly not a separate room. There is the main walkway and seating along one side. On our recent cruise, there was a singer in this area who could be ehard through out the casino.

All cabins on the Glory have a fridge. You can ask your cabin steward to remove any items in the mini bar if you need room to chill down your own drinks.

The comedian Pearcy Cruz is a must see and the cruise director, Mark, makes the whole week so much fun! He is so spontaneous, witty, and the things that he comes up with just floor me. I agree, the plush lounges by the Burgundy bar are comfy. The galley tour is neat if you've never seen that before. Oh, and the mexican buffet at midnight one night on the Lido deck is awesome. Lots of music, dancing, crazy fun!

Glory seemed to have the most extensive menu that we had seen. Of course in years past, we had only ordered the basic coffe & danish in the morning, and BLT's and brownies later on. This menu was almost a Bistro type menu with many wonderful sandwich & salad choices, as well as dessert and drinks.

Check out my review in 2 parts I just posted yesterday...I listed some of the things we had from room service....and the other thing with the GLory room service, was that it was always prompt and the servers courteous and friendly. I tipped accordingly.

ciao

like the name of the groups? ..

what type music they play? ..

is there a Caribbean group on the Lido during the day?

what type music at the evening deck party(parties)?

what port on Western is the deck party at night?

Thanks as always ...

I will try my best to answer your questions.

White Heat-disco-recorded DJ dance music.

Cinn a Bar-piano sing along-piano player Rob is great on the piano-not too great a singer and not real great at getting audience involved-it is very smokey in there.

Promenade outside of the casino-can't remember the guy's name. He was mainly playing classic rock when I was there. Honestly-he was pretty bad. Begging for tips and offering himself up for private gigs when he is on land.

Ebony Caberet-can't remember the name of the band, but they sounded pretty good. Good variety of dance music-no country music that I heard. Hardly anyone was ever in there though. I felt really bad for the group as it would have to be despressing to play for that few people.

Bar Blue-Karoke. This was hit or miss.

Ivory Club-once again don't remember name, but it was a Jazz band. Can't really comment on this-I started to walk in but the smell of cigar smoke was so strong that I turned around before sitting down.

Deck band-it is a 2 man band-one with a keyboard the other with a guitar. Guess what-I can't remember the band's name either. They are both from Trinidad. The guitar player's name is Daniel. Really nice guy. They do play some Reggae type music, but they weren't really up to par with most of the other pool type bands. They didn't play (and didn't know as I requested many songs) the songs I am accustom to hearing by the pool (Buffalo Soldier, Hot Hot HOt, Red Red Wine, Cheeseburger in Paradise). The best I could get was 3 Little Birds. They move from the mid ship pool to the aft pool each day. The other recorded music each day by the pool is pretty good.

The deck party on the Western is the day you are in Cozumel and the music is a DJ. I would once again say this was classic rock with the addition of the Electric Slide and other popular cruise line dances. The party was fun while the social hosts did their part, but it pretty much died when the social hosts left.

I hope this helps.
