Looking On he Bright Side of Covid-19

Recommended Posts

I'd like to be able to only grocery shop fortnightly but I usually only manage to get half of what's on my list at one time. Today we went to the early seniors shopping hour. I managed to get 3/4 of my list this time but only by going to both supermarkets. 🙄

A positive for me is that my next credit card bill will be the lowest I have had for a long time.   Not going out to the shops/restaurants/socialising etc. saves a lot of money.

I'll be cutting my own hair, starting today. At least no-one will see the back.😁

Ben cutting my hair at home for about 25 years, what little there is left.

* Air pollution will decrease and perhaps a bit of a help with global warming.

* Perhaps parents will gain a deeper appreciation of what it's like to be a teacher.

* Surely now Americans will see their President for what he truly is. I really feel for them.

Hopefully for all of them but don't count on any of them and definitely not the last one.

You know all that stuff you have in the wardrobe - the.... 'I don't know why I bought it, I wouldn't be seen dead in it" guess what...…………….have a re think - Myers closing shop, others following, so now is the time to:

  • Dump the deodorant
  • Cut the number 4 hair cut or
  • Use a scrunchy
  • Get the back of the wardrobe out to the front and.............

Dress to impress - or kill. Your choice

This isolation is sending me stir crazy. This morning, while having breakfast, I was chatting with a spider. He told me he was a web designer.

C'mon tell it all, what got you going was when you found out he made more money than you.

With no where much to go, we are certainly saving on fuel. Hopefully helping the environment too.

Indeed our Regional Seniors Travel Card loaded with $250 courtesy of NSW Govt  will last years.  A tank of go juice will last me 6 months.

I get mine done once a month at Just Cuts @ $27.   They have now all closed Australia wide - decision of Just Cuts CEO.   Many other haircutters are still going though.  BTW Gut, how the hell do you cut your own mop?

I have been going to a 'hair-cutter' at Brookside Shopping Centre in Brisbane. $15 for a cut and they do a great job.  I just hope they are in business when all this craziness is over and I want another professional haircut instead of DIY.

No need to buy the latest winter fashions. I was thinking of not continuing to colour my hair. Now there is no choice. Might need to invest in scarves. My hair if not cut regularly will look disgusting.

I was telling my girlfriend that I'm glad I grew my hair long, as no more haircuts.  Thank you Jackie Weaver who wears her hair long and said "who says older women can't wear their hair long!"  I mentioned I saved $50 a visit from a brilliant Russian hairdresser.  She said she pays $100 in the city for a regular cut for short hair.

I pay $20 with a barber but I am sure the prices will rise once this is all over.

I can't find the article now but I did read that air quality monitering systems around Europe and Asia were recording really low amounts of particles. They had a great comparison table of air quality from the same time last year. Apparently Rome's is the cleanest it has ever been😆. I live out in Sydney's west and I have found the air lately has been smelling really fresh. I can actually smell the trees for the first time😱.

With all the beans and solitary confinement, air quality will not remain good for long.

As I now live alone, and with no one to keep me in check,  I feel like being a bit of a rebel .

I've decided that instead of taking the recommended 4 minutes to shower I'll now take 20 minutes    -   every five days.😝

good on you but I wouldn't leave it too long, you may have the police checking up on the smell emanating from the property.
