Luminosa - Negligent

We were on the Costa Luminosa.  Negligent doesn't begin to describe how we were treated.  Information was knowingly withheld.  The New York Times reported what was going on before we were told anything by Costa.  For days we were allowed to use bars, restaurants, the casino, the spa, stores - anything that would make them money.  Finally, when we were confined to our cabins food was delivered by crew who were sick.  Disembarkation in Marseille and the flight home was a nightmare - over 300 people (some of whom who were clearly sick) were crammed into a plane.  They told us to self-isolate for 14 days.  Today is day 4.  I've had a fever for the past two days.  Anybody else?

I hope you can get tested. Someone tell me why these passengers were not quarantined at the airport. letting 300 potentially infected passengers fly from Atlanta to all points across the US and potentially infect everyone on those planes is just plain irresponsible.  Cruise line, airline and CDC all guilty.

In a world full of horrors this video posted by the lady above is truly terrifying. Tragic, unbelievable and completely chilling. Anyone of us here could have been on that cruise. What an amazing woman to selflessly at her own expense self isolate to prevent the possible spread of this deadly virus to other innocent people. I hope I would be equally brave and selfless to do the same in her position, that takes guts when you would just wish to get home. Clearly, others were not willing or were unable to make that sacrifice.

Her evidence in the video is compelling indeed. I pray she is in good health and does recover if indeed she has caught this and I wish her, and all her fellow passengers, the very best. This is clearly going to be an ongoing tragedy.

And the virus never stops "giving" 😞 Poor crew can't catch a break.

A member of the Luminosa crew has posted on crew-center that 38 have tested positive while in the hotel awaiting repatriation:

"Costa Luminosa crew member has sent us a message saying that 38 Indian crew members contracted Coronavirus during their stay in a hotel in Italy. About 120 Indian crew members disembarked Costa Luminosa on March 24, when they all tested negative before leaving the ship. All 120 Indian crewmembers were transferred to the Hotel B&B Plaza in Pisa, before their final repatriated back to India. On April 9, Italian health authorities tested the crew and the results found 38 crew members tested positive for Covid-19. The positive crew were transferred to the so-called "hospital hotel" Casa Betania in Pisa for the next 14 days, however, after more than a month, they are still in a hotel waiting for the test results and hoping they will finally go back home".

(BTW if you hadn't heard, Costa Atlantica also had 148 positive crew (no passengers onboard) on ship being repaired in Japan)
