Dinner was delicious, just what we needed after spending the afternoon doing everything we could to prevent further fraud happening to Eric and making sure everything is protected as best as we could.

Decided it was time for something stronger than wine, made a pitcher of mojitos.  Happy I could fine fresh mint leaves at local produce store.

I'm really sorry for what you are going through. I can imagine the stress. Alcohol is definitely in order.

Any food porn? I’d also except a photo of Eric kicking butt of the offending people too.

Sorry no food porn, maybe tomorrow.  Leftover plate will be identical.  We love to find out who and how they got Eric's info.  Someone near Pittsburg, Pa not the Russians. Lol!

Here are the completed Cuban sandwiches. Excuse the paper plates (lazy).  I should’ve played some salsa music an had a mojito  instead of wine. They were delicious.

Even crazier we received a phone call this afternoon from TD bank fraud prevention dept asking if we applied for Samsung financing program.     Immediately told them NO!    we do not have any accounts with TD Bank nor are we financing anything with Samsung.      the rep at TD said they had Eric's full name, address, SSN and DOB, the only thing that triggered possible fraud was the ship to address for the samsung products (they didn't expand on what was ordered but hinted towards some appliances).   So we just spent the last hour freezing our credit with all 3 bureaus and found 2 other inquiries made by other lenders were made last week.     On the list to call them next.

No idea where his info leaked from but hopefully the credit freeze will put a stop to it.

and we use a VPN whenever online.

I am sure some database hack that you have an account with is the source.  Scary,  Do you have life lock or other credit monitoring account?  If you do you should definitely contact them.

Good luck... the world is a scary place

I visited some of the shooting sites of the film when I was in Ireland 😍

some of my fav pics ever taken

I was about to ask you to post some of those pics but I see that you did.  Thanks! 👍

Definitely  recognize the bridge you are standing on. (that is you, right?)  And the road with the 2 stone walls. Now I really want to go.

I love old movies. Total escapism for me. I have the Blu-Ray with a bonus extra documentary on the making of the film. Fun fact....which you may already know....a lot of the townsfolk were enlisted to play parts on the movie. And not just background characters.

Glad to see they have a pic of The Duke there too!

It's nice.  Sometimes I think my cat likes it better than the house.  It's kind of weird... he seems more content. Inside it has all the comforts of home. I like having a washer and dryer.  Laundromats are for suckers.

I don't recommend driving it if you have no trailer towing experience.  Even with some experience you want to be careful until you get used to the off-track.  It feels even longer when you are looking at it through your side view mirror.  This is our forth one.  The first as a 28 footer with a single slide. The second was a 35 footer with 3 slides and after that we were 38 foot with 4 slides.  This one is 43 feet and has 4 slides.  I told my wife while we were shopping for it that I was determined that we get a little lighter.  We ended up 1000#'s  heavier.  LOL I never seem to win any argument.

That’s long. Our first was a 30’ class A motorhome and after that we bought a 40’ 5th wheel with a Dodge 350 HD dually diesel. It only had 2 slides so with the 4 you have it must really be heavy. We will eventually buy another rv, but it will be a class A. No more 5th wheels for us. I remember when we moved to Key West. The first time we drove down was in the motorhome. Sitting up high and looking out at all the blue water. So beautiful. We parked it for 3 years after moving to KW. We never wanted to go anywhere else. Every weekend we were in the boat. Never took a vacation while we lived there. We were on a permanent one. 🥂😊

We got some crazy mail this morning.    A bill from T-Mobile arrived in Eric's name for leasing 3 I-phone 12's as well as unlimited phone / text and highest data plan they had along with international calling.       FRAUD!    We don't have anything T-Mobile.

I immediately called T-Mobile (45 minute wait) and explained the situation and don't you know the dummy CSR asked me for the pin or security code for the account after I had explained this was fraud and we did not set up this account nor purchase/lease anything from T-Mobile.

Apparently someone in Western PA (near Pittsburgh) got all the phones and service.   No idea how they got Eric's information yet.   Their fraud department is investigating and has suspended service to all three phone lines (I tried to call each of them from my work VPN - so they didn't scam my number).

Next we are going to check both of our credit reports and see what shows up there.

What a mess!

she put me on hold for quite awhile and

So sorry this is happening to you. Hope it all gets fixed soon.

I used to really enjoy old navy movies. Destination Tokyo, Run Silent Run Deep, The Caine Mutiny, Mr. Roberts....

I've never watched Destination Tokyo . I've seen & enjoyed the other 3.

Who would have thunk that a missing pint of strawberries could have sunk a mans career.

It’s been a day here.  Traded in DH’s truck for a new one. Sold his Audi. Sunday is my birthday, so kids sent us makings fir Cubano sandwiches from Versailles in Miami via Goldbelly, saying “ if you can’t travel right now, we thought we’d send you some of your favorite food”.

Speaking of drones, we just got back from a few days in a condo on the beach at Amelia.  The first day we’re having a drink on the balcony...and I suddenly see a drone at eye level a few feet off our balcony.  I look around but don’t see any likely operators.  As we weren’t doing anything video worthy I just smiled and waved.

Wasn't me.  I promise.  That's just creepy.

I myself setup credit monitoring acct a couple years ago but Eric did not set up for himself.   Yesterday we contacted each credit bureau and put a credit freeze as well as ran a credit report with each bureau.  Discovered he had inquiries done between 3.09 and 3.11 by creditors we have no accts with so we contacted each of creditors and advised them of identity theft/fraud.

Those inquiries were done by tmobile, TD bank, samsung financing and 2 personal loan companies based in NYC.

And we are still working on changing passwords for everything!  The major ones for our vpns, banking and investment accounts are done.

No way of knowing what database got hacked but I think we covered all basis yesterday.  Hopefully!

No thanks. I would consider that a white knuckle trip.

Indeed that would be too much for us.  We enjoy our simple motor home that still has the "glamping" features.  Ours has 1 and 1/2 bathrooms, four TVs, washer dryer, surround sound theater set up, nice separation of main cabin and bedroom, electric fireplace, and "office area" in the "bow" and ample full  kitchen.

Towing the little Jeep around for exploration trips once parked is a real perk, especially finding little lakes to put the kayaks in.  AND...we fit into most smaller sites and can use a regular gas station for "land yacht fuel".  Happily kept it simple.  😉

That's terrible and very frustrating for you I am sure.  Hope you get through it and put it past you.

It's amazing how creative these scam artists are getting lately.  Sad they can't take that talent and put it towards something legal and helpful.  😣

Me, that letter would never have made it past our trash buckets conveniently located inside our mail box post office room.  😉

My pet peeve are things that aren't level and even. I know I drove every contractors crazy by constantly coming in with my own level and then having them correct anything was uneven.

You and Bucky would get along great.  😉
