Probably a fan of The Bambino too! And all things NY Yankees obviously. How was the cheese steak? I had 2 while in Atlantic City. For some reason, pizza and cheese steaks always taste better on a boardwalk when smelling the salt air & hearing the gulls & ocean in the background.

Cheese steak was very good ,pizza not as good as some of veggies on pie weren't cooked long enough.
Rare Sea Dog Posted May 2 #120530 Share Posted May 2 15 minutes ago, HBE4 said: @Sea Dog You're probably well on your way to Hilton Head by now so have a fabulous time but please don't cut your trip short. There are a few different ways to handle a situation like this. One way is to ignore the person, let them finish their "rant" and once they are done unloading their feelings and thoughts, resume having fun. Hopefully it'll be a short rant and not an all-nighter. Another way is to make a pact with the group about what topics are off-limits. If someone breaks the pact, the have to buy a round of drinks or make dinner or clean up the after dinner mess. Lastly, if you have the patience, ask them why they think the way they do. And then just listen and not debate/argue the point. After all, neither one of you are going to convince the other to switch viewpoints. But sometimes understanding why a person thinks a certain way makes their "rants" much more.....tolerable, for lack of a better word. Have fun . Great advice. In the air now should arrive in Savannah in an hour and half. Hopefully everyone will behave. 10 minutes ago, HBE4 said: @Sea Dog just has to remember not to say "To the nearest Cruise Port" when getting in the taxi. 😉😇😅 Lol, yes I will be tempted. Ocean Boy Posted May 2 #120535 Share Posted May 2 1 hour ago, HBE4 said: I'm gone for 2 days & I feel like I missed 2 months worth of postings. So while I scroll back a few pages, enjoy some pictures of the Absecon Light House in Atlantic City. Walking up the boardwalk - The World Famous Atlantic City Boardwalk according to all the signs - with the Atlantic Ocean to my right and looking to my left, it looks like the lighthouse was seriously misplaced. Weird to put a lighthouse in the middle of the city.😂 Just kidding. Pretty sure when it was built in 1857, there was nothing but sand around. Slightly better angle. After walking 10-15 minutes, the boardwalk curves to the left & parallels the inlet from the ocean to the bay. You can see the ramp from the street to the boardwalk with the inlet right behind me. Much closer to the water. I scoured the internet for a whole 3 or 4 minutes trying to find an old picture of what it looked like before anything of the surrounding area built-up but couldn't find anything. But here is a stock picture I stole, er, downloaded showing how close it is to the water and not standing n the middle of a city as the first picture would indicate. It is a very nice looking lighthouse. Was it open to climb?

However, Hard Rock Casino wasted no time sending me an offer for 2 more "free" nights so there will be a next time. Hopefully you and your husband will be there returning soon! Yes! Well, mixed emotions. Happy with the sweep but I had tickets to Game 5. But I just got my money refunded so that will more than offset the money I lost in AC Actually, I rented a trailer. I like to think big. You gotta "think big to win big" 😁 In reality, all I needed was a Dixie up to bring home the spare change I had left. Sorry that you lost in AC .I still predict that the Rangers will win the Championship this year.

He was a Foreman working on the 2nd Avenue Subway project when he fell down 25 feet, head first. He was a very healthy, strong man who never smoked in his life. He remained in a coma for a week before finally passing, which was a Blessing, due to his extensive injuries. The father of one of my friends also died 43 years ago while working on the 2nd.Avenue Subway project from a fall I don’t recall how old he was .

I'm 50, so I could take it now, but it doesn't last very long (5-10 years?), and there's no booster later. So do I take it now, and then find myself at risk again when I'm older and possibly in worse health? Or wait a few years so that I'm protected when I'm older? My doctor doesn't seem concerned either way when I've asked him. I got Shringrix when I was about 58 and I'm now 64. From what I've read, there may be a booster as new data comes out as the protection lasts 7-10 years. I haven't seen anything that says you can't get the vaccine again later. I reacted to both shots with lethargy and a sore arm. I felt like I had the flu for 24 hours with each shot.

Rare bobmacliberty Posted May 2 #120548 Share Posted May 2 We've been very busy lately. Our daughter and SIL came for a long weekend visit last weekend. They arrived Friday afternoon and left Monday night on what used to be a cheap Allegiant direct flight. Not so cheap anymore. We packed in a lot of activities while they were here. Our club's Member-Member golf tournament kicked off with a stag dinner last night and golf today, tomorrow, and Saturday. The tournament includes a lot of great food and drink in addition to golf, closing with a celebration dinner on Saturday night with spouses/partners. Lots of fun. Weather here has been perfect. Sunny in the upper 70s and low 80s.

I’ll take this discomfort compared to what people with shingles go through.
