thomaskuhn Posted April 3, 2020 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2020 We canceled our March 16th cruise as part of the updated cancellation program. I have a cancellation number from the phone call when I canceled. They said all prepaid refundable money (prepaid spa services, prepaid gratuities, taxes fees) would be refunded in 9-10 business days. I received an email regarding the new Future cruise credit as well. I have yet to see anything back on my card of the refundable $$. Of course I should call them, but I wanted to reach out here first and see if this is normal for this situation. Anyone else having issues getting their money back? CTCruiser76 Posted April 4, 2020 #3 Share Posted April 4, 2020 (edited) Nope - cancelled March 10th on our May 11th cruise - not a dime back yet for anything, including drink packages or pre-paid gratuities. The sea calls my name Posted April 4, 2020 #4 Share Posted April 4, 2020 Ditto. My TA cancelled for us. We have received out FCC already but not a refund on our credit card for gratuities, port charges or from when I cancelled our on board pre packages. I am giving it to April 13th before I start contacting anyone. I will be following along. Please if anyone gets their reimbursement, please share . bearette Posted April 4, 2020 #5 Share Posted April 4, 2020 We were on the March 9th Jewel when it cancelled and we got only the port fees and taxes as onboard credit, but it has yet to hit my card. We were also supposed to be on the March 16th and got an FCC for that, but we haven't gotten a thing back.
Sunshine3601 Posted April 4, 2020 #6 Share Posted April 4, 2020 I cancelled a cruise by phone call to rcl on march 11th and received my refund credit to amex card yesterday. That was for port taxes/fees excursions dining and internet packages but I have not received my FCC email yet. Sailing would have been this week. I have another cruise booked for May and 99.99% sure we wont go on that even if they do sail so I cancelled excursions and internet packages on cruise planner and got those amex refund in 5 or 6 days. thomaskuhn Posted July 27, 2020 Author #9 Share Posted July 27, 2020 I am wondering if we are eligible to get a refund for our FCC. We canceled due to covid and received FCC. Because the cruise was not canceled, I wonder if we could possibly get a refund. I am not sure if we will be able to book another cruise in the timeframe given for the FCC. Milwaukee Eight Posted July 27, 2020 #10 Share Posted July 27, 2020 (edited) I cancelled our cruise planner purchases online for our October cruise (took FCC for deposit). It took 14 days for those refunds. FCC not available yet. M8 Edited July 27, 2020 by Milwaukee Eight
