Rontom1 Posted April 6, 2020 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2020 I wonder why HAL HAS NOT cancelled Alaska cruises departing from Vancouver due to Canada announcing closure of all cruise ports until July 1. We want to cancel June 29th Maasdam but can't get full refund until the cruise line cancels.
dave34 Posted April 6, 2020 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2020 Get ready to get beat up by the HAL supporters. One reason, they hope you cancel so they can offer you a credit and not cash. I have a cruise leaving Vancouver in June, we all no that will not happen, but you will not get anything out of HAL. I canceled drink package, Internet and excursions on March 1, still have not heard anything from them. They have 12 thousand in cruise money that I’m afraid I will never see. I can understand a delay for the cash refund , but not informing customers is outrageous.
wyobean Posted April 7, 2020 #3 Share Posted April 7, 2020 It appears they are canceling in 30 day increments. I am guessing to make it easier on their employees...
towhee Posted April 7, 2020 #4 Share Posted April 7, 2020 Our May 4 cruise on the same itinerary was finally cancelled last week. I suspect that Wyobean has the correct assessment.
Rontom1 Posted April 7, 2020 Author #5 Share Posted April 7, 2020 I think I did see that they are giving full refund on the cruises up to May 15. So I guess we just wait
