So ...  for those who originally had a "concierge inside family" and retitled "suite" ... are any amenities taken away ??? A "suite" always entitled one to concierge services ...

Here-s the official word:

IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION: NORWEGIAN JOY CONCIERGE CLASS
Dear Valued Guests and Travel Partners:
Norwegian Cruise Line has important information for you regarding your upcoming sailing aboard Norwegian Joy.
In an effort to enhance the guest experience, the Concierge Class aboard Norwegian Joy will be removed, and certain Concierge category staterooms will be recategorized as Haven Suite categories. Please note, these changes do not affect your current stateroom location or number.
These Haven Suites will come with our standard Haven amenities, at no additional cost on your current reservation, which will now include the following: • Access to our exclusive Haven area which offers a sanctuary of private comfort and luxury at sea. o The Haven Lounge - your place to get away from it all! o The Haven Restaurant - an additional private dining option available to you beyond the main dining rooms and specialty restaurants on board. o The Haven Courtyard and Sundeck - a private courtyard with pool, sundeck, hot tubs and more. • Personalized service o Be personally escorted on and off the ship and the pier and at ports-of-call. o 24-hour trained and certified suite butler. o Concierge service to help you book dining, entertainment, shore excursions and more. o Courtyard attendant to take care of all your cold towels, fresh fruit and sun deck refreshment needs. o White tablecloth in-suite dining. o Evening turndown service.
In addition, Haven guests will receive delicious extras including treats delivered to your suite each evening, invitations to exclusive cocktail parties and special Haven menus.
The following Concierge categories will be recategorized as Haven categories: • CA: Concierge Family Suite with Balcony recategorized as HI: Haven Penthouse Suite with Balcony • CB: Concierge Penthouse with Balcony recategorized as HJ: Haven Suite with Balcony
Effective today, the new categories will be available and introduced on Norwegian Joy sailings beginning September 19, 2020 and beyond.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you aboard Norwegian Joy for your vacation at sea!
Sincerely, Katty Byrd Vice President Guest Services

We luck out too as we were looking for a week's cruise late next year so messing about with different ships and weeks. Cane across the Joy and noticed the new lower end of Haven (the old CB/ new HJ). We always try to do Haven cos we like everything that goes with it but I have a price limit. With the new revised cabins it is much cheaper than what we usually pay for and gratitudes are included too. Win for us as I expected the price I got won't last long.

We have just booked our HJ suite on Joy for December 2021 at a very reasonable 2,000€ each. I expect this will be our one and only time in the Haven as it is normally way out of our budget. Thank you NCL

Does anyone have an exact count for the number of staterooms that will have Haven access on Joy? Just eye-balling the deck-plans gives me 118 but I might have missed a few with the colors being so similar (and me counting in my head).

I found this thread AFTER I booked my Thanksgiving cruise on the Joy.

I just did my own count and came up with 118 independently as well. I guess there will be 50% more people than I'm used to... but the Haven is so much larger on the Joy than it is on the Breakaway and Getaway, so maybe I won't notice?

The facilities are designed to comfortably accommodate 80 Haven suites... guess what you get when the room count goes to 118????

Explains why mine is just a suite now it was originally a "CC" all good with me though.  Wondering now that it is considered a suite will I get a butler?  Time will tell.

No butler for "Just Suites" on the Joy. You can eat breakfast and lunch in La Cucina and there is one separate concierge for the Suites (that being said there is a different concierge and 3 assistant concierge in the Haven).

Hi we were just upgraded to an SC penthouse suite.  What did you end up getting with this suite?   Thank you.

We had one booked for January 22 which we cancelled and rebooked for April 2.  Up until around the last of November it listed on the website everything that the Haven had except for haven access.  After numerous inquiries we found out thru the VP office of Guest Relations that there was now longer breakfast at La Cucina and, no butler and such.  They had 2 free room service, suite concierge (he is not the same one for the haven), upgraded bedding and the regular stuff you get with Latitudes.  We just upgraded before final payment to the HI and am going to bid on the HJ.  I was very disappointed in the mis-information and I drove them crazy.
