So exactly how much money do you have tied up right now with bookings?

It would be interesting to hear from those who have deposits or full payments tied up right now.  How much do you have on the line?

I have a June NE/Canada cruise that was canceled by Royal, so they offered me a full refund which I accepted.  It was a fantastic deal - $1,600 for two.  I hadn't bought any air so the only thing I have to get back is the cruise money.  I have a November cruise on Oasis where I have a $900 NR deposit + $200 for insurance.  I hope something works out in my favor for that one.

I realize the money I have tied up is probably small potatoes compared to some of you, but I don't think anyone likes to lose money.

$231.74 for casino rate Junior suite on Independence of the Seas in Nov. Can cancel up until 48 hours prior and get everything back. Just want to wait till stuff starts moving again before look for air.

Stay safe and Healthy everyone

Well north of what others have posted. Our two May cruises were cancelled and they totalled about 9K.  We have 6 more (two b2b's and 2 individual cruises) with deposits of at least $1500, not exactly sure.  Our May cruises we requested refunds for.

I have 6 future cruises booked so I think that is $2000 in NRDs for 4 of them.  2 of them is a b2b in europe totalling around $8000 plus airfare thru air2sea for about $3000.

Plus another $700 or $800 in cruise planner purchases for the b2b

Then I had a may cruise canceled waiting for refund.  I think that cruise was around $1800.

I did receive my refund for march cruise that was cancelled but still waiting for the FCC.

So all in somewhere around $15,500 with Rcl.

Sssshh. Dont tell my DH.

$1800 NRD for three cabins. With final payment coming up on 5/6, I am guessing I'll be looking at FCC. Finding a time it will work for the whole family may be a challenge and my understanding is that FCC is cannot be combined or transferred. My first and last NRD.

I am waiting on ~ $10,000

My friend and I and our kids were due to leave yesterday on a cancelled (by RC) Quantum cruise they are refunding.

For both of us (I'm the one in charge of the travel arrangements and getting our $$ back):

Cruise fare $4,000 / Cruise planner items $1,150 /

Airline cancellation fees (to Singapore) that RC has offered / agreed to pay $920  =   total $6,070

My husband, son and I booked on Ovation TP - Hon to Syd - in September.  My husband does not want to go regardless.

At this stage no way NZ / Aus will be letting cruise ships in this year anyway so I'm sure it will be cancelled.

I cancelled over $3,000 of cruise planner purchases 5 weeks ago, nothing back yet.

Luckily we only have $300 NRD (AUD) total down as a deposit, once they extend the CWC offer past 1 Sept hopefully I'll get that back as a FCC.  The only CP purchase I kept was my son's drink pkg (that was the only one I consider "essential"!)

We had $300 OBC so I've only paid out $200 for that.  I'm comfortable with that for now but will probably go ahead and cancel it once all the above is sorted.

I cancelled our airfares to Honolulu (booked separately)  Took a big hit on the cancellation fee with Virgin but really wasn't interested in a credit voucher with them and am worried about their viability so took what money I could and ran.

Every morning the first thing I do is check my c/card on my bank's app - so far, always disappointed.  Trying to be patient, but.......

2 Cruises in October with NRD - $1000, insurance - $156, hotels & excursions can be cancelled.  I'm waiting till they make the call to cancel so I can get a refund rather than OBC.  I really hope they will be sailing by October, but unlikely.

To get a refund with NRD for our Sept Vancouver-Tokyo-Singapore cruises we would have to pay final in late May. Not sure I want to put out any more $$$ and don't think RCI will cancel before final. If Cruise With Confidence is extended past Sept 1 we could get full NRD deposit as FCC. Wish there was a way to get a refund on the $900x2 deposit.

I feel for you - that's a lot of $$  : (

We have a TP booked for end of Sept, final payment is due mid July.  I have no intention of paying that.

We booked onboard and only paid $100 NRD p/p x 3 so if they don't extend CWC we will just have to lose the $300.

I will happily take it as FCC if they offer it so we will have to wait and see.

$900 non-refundable deposit. About $1800 in non-refundable airfare to Spain the end of October. $300 in probably useless travel insurance.

So we figured out that if we end up not making final payment in August and cancel...We could receive $700/$900 FCC for the deposit and possibly move it to a new sailing next year. Our stimulus check just about covers the airfare...or there might schedule changes or cancellations that we could request refunds. If there are no claims, we might be able to move the travel insurance to a new sailing next year. We could request refunds of the DBP and UDP. I'm trying to look on the bright side and what ifs here.

Several have mentioned that cruises were booked with discretionary money. It was discretionary money but it was not disposable income. Pandemic was not something we considered when spending $300 on travel insurance.

I have $3000 ($2400 plus the 25%) in FCC coming from the canceled HI to Vancouver in May

I have $1426 coming from Princess that I just canceled for a Sept. cruise

I have $200 tied up in a NRD on Allure in Dec.

I have $1590 tied up in RD on three other cruises in 2021 and 2022.

So totaling it all up $6216 not near as much as some.  I'm sure that everything will be back to normal by 2021 so the last three are no big deal.  The Allure in Dec. was booked on board over a year ago so it only required $100 pp deposit so no big risk on that one.  Princess said it will take 60 days to get that credited back to my credit cared and I'm sure that my FCC coming from Royal will arrive sometime shortly after my cruise was supposed to sale.  No real big anxiety for me.

Also have around 1500 in previous FCC's

500 of that expires in October

I would really hope that they would consider extending the dates on some of the outstanding FCC as a goodwill gesture. considering they may be cancelling more cruises giving you a very narrow window to spend that $500.
