Cruising WILL be SLOWING DOWN as an Industry

Recommended Posts

They must have some facts wrong in the story.

First they say they will slow down production so they only build 2 ships a year then they list the original schedule that has 3 for 2020 and 2 each year for 2021, 2022 and 2023.  Doesn’t seem like much of a slowdown.

Those 9 ships would carry almost 2 million passengers a year.  Take away those million cabin assignments and the old ships will sail full.

If cruising resumed tomorrow, I don’t think you would see anything close to ships sailing close to full capacity across the board.

Prior to the list it says previous timetable. Not current timetable.

Thats what I said in my post.  If you read the article it states;

This will delay the completion date for new ships that are currently under construction. The shipyard will now build just two new cruise ships a year.”

Then it does on to state  the current timetable which I posted which is why I said I think the article has some facts wrong.

I agree. We're sailing in Oct, 2020, and we're not expecting a full ship.
