coconutmonkey Posted April 27, 2020 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2020 For an upcoming cruise late this year, I have more OBC than I can use for shipboard activities. Can I use my OBC to buy future cruise credits? Thanks
jennybenny Posted April 27, 2020 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2020 No, Future cruise deposits are a separate form and are charged immediately on a cruise. They do use the card on file to simplify things, but I have used a different card before by bringing it with me to the Future Cruise person. Having too much OBC may be a problem for some, but there are things you can do, use it to gamble with maybe? Get an advance in the casino from account and then cash it in? Maybe do some research on watches or jewelry to buy on board? Expensive wine? Find cruise excursions to take? If you have more than one cruise can you split OBC between multiple cruises? Not sure if you excess OBC is from a cruise refund or something else.
skynight Posted April 27, 2020 #3 Share Posted April 27, 2020 (edited) As stated, no. Charged directly and promptly to your credit card. Does not appear on your on board account folio. Edited April 27, 2020 by skynight
