I don't where one in my car or walking with my wife. We do wear them in any public building.

I get that.  I just meant that I wasn't going to debate (with anyone) the effectiveness of face masks.  If you have done your research and the conclusion you've come to is that it's a fact, then I am not going to argue, with you or anyone.  We're all in this together.  I do hope everyone here on CC is well.

If there is a straw hole on masks...will it be for paper or plastic straws.  My wife crocheted 20 masks and making cloth ones. We wear for safety and courtesy. We made sure grandboy swim safely.

Thanks. Dont go cheap on full face masks. Poor knock offs leak and could build up co2...this is not good in long term ocean snorkling. As always be safe in water activities. The youngest does not like his because he cannot cannonball in the pool with it. Kids.

Can someone start a survey on wearing masks? I tried.  Something to effect..will you wear a mask on your next carnival cruise?  Yes. No. Only if requied.

The first masks I used were cut up t-shirts, so you could do that with your cruise shirts 🙂

Now I am trying to coordinate them with my outfits lol.

And I know people make fun of those of us wearing a mask while driving our car, but I do it so I don’t forget to put it on when I get to where I’m going.  I’ve got a lot going on in my mind during this time yikes!

We used to argue about butter and now it's about masks.

When wearing a mask, you are not supposed to mess with it.  Opening it, closing it, and touching it all defeat the purpose of wearing it and can actually put people at more risk of spreading and contracting a virus.  Therefore, it would only be reasonable to request people wear masks for a period of time when they don't need to remove it.  

 

People are constantly eating and drinking on cruise ships.  All over.  In the theaters, casinos, dining areas, and inside/outside on the decks.  Requiring people to wear masks is actually putting them at greater risk when those people will have to keep messing with the masks to eat and drink. Touching the outside of the mask with your fingers puts all of those germs on your fingers.

Okay, first of all...  your handle on here...  LOL  Butterbean.   We have a 10 month old kitten who's name is Benjamin Butterbean (he goes by Benji or Beans, mostly)  so I'm in love with your name!

 

secondly... I wholeheartedly agree with you.  Masks offer zero protection - once you've worn it for any amount of time and some moisture accumulates on it (from your breathing...) it then begins to hold bacteria BETTER than when dry.  And now you are also breathing in that stuck bacteria (because you are breathing through the cloth in your mask...). Plus people are constantly adjusting their masks... you are touching stuff and then reaching up and touching your mask (and depositing bacteria onto it!)

 

wearing gloves is another thing that is doing more harm than good for most folks!  People are wearing their gloves as they leave their homes and leaving them on the entire time they are out and still wearing them when they get back into their cars...  I see folks with the gloves on, fixing their hair - touching their faces - adjusting their masks...

 

 the gloves collect bacteria way better than your skin does!  and unless you are constantly changing those gloves every time you touch something, you are not protecting yourself.

We are in arizona and restaurants open today. Came in with mssks and once at table they are off. Tables spaced. I dont see masks in lido or mdr.not possible.  It feels wrong but wife is happy. Has her frozen margarita. It will happen campers.

Having thought carefully, this will be the deciding factor for when I renew my WDW Annual Pass and possibly manage future cruise bookings. Luckily I have a few months to decide but I don’t believe I’m a supporter of wearing masks while cruising.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!  I'd rather be home in my living room maskless, than be a cruise ship hot and miserable wearing a mask.

I'll sail no matter want and see what happens. Masks would not be fun but I think I can suck it up to cruise again. Life no matter what is going to be different for a year or so.
