I have a cruise booked for March 2021 and am concerned without a vaccine out there, will they be sailing any time soon????  What are everyone else's thoughts on this.....just curious.

Doubt that we will be cruising before at lest the end of 2020 or into 2021.

Two reasons.  First off is personal well being.  Second, and just as important, is that we do not know what cruising will look like.  Not just the on board environment but also the itinerary in terms of what ports will be open to cruise ships.  I am not so certain that all ports will be welcoming cruise lines like they did in the past based upon the reports of how the various cruise lines performed leading up to the spread of the virus.

Doone, my sister and I have a 4-day cruise on the Nieuw Statendam booked for Jan. 27, 2021.  I'm looking forward to it, but if it's cancelled, no big deal.  I have a $50 deposit down for the both of us, so not a lot invested in it as of today.  No flights booked, only a hotel reservation.

I booked the cruise last November, so even if they bump passengers to sail below capacity, we should be OK.

Could have rebooked our cancelled July 2020 Baltic cruise for either June, July or late August 2021. Chose late August in hopes of being able to have a vaccine available by then. Even so, keeping my fingers crossed. There's no fun in planning a cruise that has a good probability of being cancelled.

We live in California and had booked a Baltic cruise in May, 2021. We cancelled it mainly because we are not going to fly anywhere in the foreseeable future. We also have a 12 day Sea of Cortez booked for October this year, but no flying involved and the ports are mostly small.
We shall wait until final payment or see what Holland and Mexico does in the meantime.

Wait until you get close to final payment.  All countries are working on a vaccine and you never know what miracle might be around the corner.  If you do go, bring some face masks just in case.

Have two cruises booked B2B for a total of 50 nights on the Westerdam sailing on April 5 from Fort Lauderdale to Venice followed by a RT sailing from Venice on May 2.

Also have a 37 night on the Veendam sailing RT Amsterdam on July 3.

I may be a total fool, but I am cautiously optimistic.....

I have a booking in November, 2020 that was made a year ago, but I am pretty sure it will be cancelled.

As someone who has already had 3 cruises cancelled out from underneath me, I will not make any new reservations until I see that cruising has begun in ernest again.  I'm not talking about seeing itineraries that are in the works -  I am saying that I will not book until cruising is real.  Maybe after a few months of sailings, once the kinks are worked out, I might consider giving HAL more of my money.  Right now they are only selling dreams.

I have to agree with this sentiment. We booked a Jan 2021 Carib B2B as the virus started and at that time I felt things may be straightened out by then.  In hindsight way to optimistic and my wife brought me back to reality. To me the present 'risk reward' is not there ie. we really don't understand how the cruise experience will be impacted -  the lengthy delays on deposit returns and known financial pressures on cruise lines has to at least raise possible bankruptcy concerns at some point-  who wants to deal with itinerary changes, cancellations, etc-  finally the financial rewards (discounting) of many future cruises seem off. Perhaps as suggested by others the lines are wanting to apply FCC's to higher fares or perhaps they are contemplating reduced passenger loads.

We will miss cruising but as the poster suggests, too much unknown now.  We will likely look to All Inclusives  for next getaway trips where one can cancel a few days before travel without penalty.

When their itineraries are more solidified for 2021/22 will we consider a booking, too many unknowns at the moment.  But when we do book, we'll be putting down the lowest deposit possible and no more gimmicks or "casino fares" for us; we're also not making final payment until the last minute.

However, we are not about to give them more money until we get a refund from our cancelled sailing last month.  It boils down to trust and integrity at this point.  And this goes for all cruise lines with the recent news about NCL especially concerning.
