WHATEVER you do, ROYAL...don't......

Recommended Posts

...get into police mode and start enforcing:
- Where we can go, or when....ZONING areas at certain times;
- Tell us constantly when to wear the mask or when we can remove it;
- Remind us of social distancing by prodding a stick in between us;
- Wait for us to board and tell us our favorite venues are closed (or events) due to lack of staffing
Now, the surveys and questions about our health status pre-boarding is fine. Just let everyone enjoy the vacation we paid for. We don't want to be constantly policed or bothered.
If THIS is the future of cruising, count us out.

Parts of that is very likely the short term future. I'd suggest you hold off booking until things settle down

You can count on new rules, and those being enforced for a while.  None of those listed in the original post are all that big of a deal for most people...and smart moves to ensure the slackers are addressed proactively.  Good moves from our vantage point.

Obviously, you must not like the Washy Washy video playing in the cabin on boarding day. Lol

Now...Now... Let's have a positive mindset and look at all the annoying things that will go *poof*:

1. No bad hygiene

2. No Children out of control

3. No Cutting in line

4. No putting food back in the buffet line (if it still exists)

5. No self serve in the WJ (if it still exists)

6. No lounge chair hogs

7. No overuse of the elevator

8. No saving seats

9. No traffic cones

10. No belly flop contests with 10,000 people huddled around the pool

There are at least 10 good things to look forward to...

That's assuming Australia will be accepting foreign tourism. You'll have to wait and see about that.

I've flown to Australia and it's a long flight. I would have to decline if the were enforcing you to wear a mask.

Suggest you look for other vacation options for the foreseeable future.  Cruising will not be the same for a long time, if ever...

I just want to be on a cruise - enjoying the balcony, and view of the ocean, and food 2 or 15 times a day.  Also adult beverages.  don't forget the adult beverages!

Changed that up a bit for you. Cruise ships are always policing things.

(cont)

- Not waiting for us at the pier when we are two hours late for boarding

- Refusing to serve us more drinks as we crawl up on all fours to the bar

- Sending us to the naughty room when we get caught smuggling booze

- Confiscating our irons, candles, matches and fireworks

- Refusing boarding when we forget our passport

- Refusing boarding when we're sick as (fill in the blank)

- Not letting us throw things and people overboard

Too many strict rules -- will have to postpone.

Funny should say that. 25yrs ago tried to eat all of the 14 Meals served in one day. By time hit 8, was about done, end with Midnite Buffet total of 11...

Paulines cousin lives in Australia.

They have been told no one can come in or go out of Australia for the rest of 2020.
