Cruising With Tattoos

Starting to look where to book a new cruise for 2022 or 2023 and have landed on something in Asia of maybe the Middle East.

Both my wife and myself are heavily tattooed. We want to visit some religious site in the areas on the voyage we select.

My question is will we have any issue with visible tattoos in these regions

If your plans include Japan then do your research. Traditionally tattoos were associated with the Yakuza, and thus stigmatized and barred entry to many places. This is changing, but still exists in places.

Asia and the Middle East covers not only a huge area, but many different cultures and religions, so there is no "one size fits all" here, other than wearing modest dress (covering up) for some places and religious sites. You would have to do your own research (easily done) for each of the places you want to visit.
