Why Are Future Cruise Credits and Refunds Taking so Long?

I have been jerked around by Scenic since May trying to get my deposit back.  Kept getting the "check is in the mail" story. Finally disputed the charge (4K) with the credit card company and within a month I was credited with a full refund.  Would suggest this method to anyone having problems getting your money back from this second rate cruise line.  Remember it is your money and Scenic has no right to keep it.
