CAS Comp and 25% FCC Bonus

Has anyone booking a 'full-comp' cruise been allowed to apply the 25% FCC bonus to your Admin fees or Port fees?

(An agent told me the 25% FCC bonus from my suspended (cancelled) April cruise could only go towards 'Fare or category upgrade'.)

Yes, the 25% bonus FCC is used to discount the admin fees.

I had a comped cruise cancelled and called Casino at Sea department to rebook for next year. I was told no on the 25% as that only applies to cruise fare and since it is a comped cruise with no actual cruise fare (just admin fee and port charges and taxes) it can't be used.

Thanks for posting your confirmation jmin346.    Trying to figure it out, but it looks like the code at the bottom just says its your 100FCC for $358 credit.    (That does look like a great deal for four cruisers!)

 

We were able to use my DH's 100FCC (same code) to apply to admin fee & port fees.   Now we are sitting with two $82 fcc (25%) that they said they couldn't apply unless for upgrade to higher category.  Two times $82 would not get us to Haven🤔

That's just what they told me too.    I guess the 25% bonus wasn't designed to help a comped cruiser. 

 

If the 25% FCC sits on our accounts long enough perhaps we can try again to have it applied to another cruise, but I'm not going to count on it.   I think it expires next April.

I might  see if I can us it for an upgrade before it expires. Was suppos d to be on my cruise to Bermuda right now, rescheduled it for May 2021

I've read I believe others being able to use the 25% FCC on prepaying the $15.50 per day, I would call back, play innocent about trying unsuccessfully to use your 25ffc and see if you can use them for that.  It's my experience that sometimes with a different agent you get a different result. With today's suspension of cruises through July 31, I checked the FAQs for updates.   

One of the FAQs now talks about 'Bonus FCC' and says :

  "Any bonus FCC amount is applied only to the voyage fare"

I used mine to apply for the upgrade to ocean view from my comped inside

I thought the CAS rep told me that the leftover FCC could be applied to daily service charges or shore excursions but you must call to process - cannot be done on-line...

I think he meant the FCC that was from the 100% FCC.    It's the 25% Bonus that has more restrictions.  If they let you use the 25% Bonus FCC on other things please report back (so I can call them again😉)
