Smoking on Royal

We are considering a balcony cabin on Emerald deck directly above the shops on the Promenade deck, and wanted to know if there is smoking allowed on that part of the Promenade.  We are very sensitive to to it and appriciate any assistance you can provide.  Thank you !!

Which does not mean someone will do it. we had a negative experience on the Coral.

Some idiot claimed the aft deck as his smoking area which was where our balcony was 

AND others wanted to enjoy the deck as it was a great place to hang out and watch the scenery.

We knew his name, cabin # but Princess (no matter how far up the chain we went), would

not enforce it.

Smoking is allowed on the aft starboard side aft section of the promenade deck nowhere near mid ship.

On the Crown on our last cruise a group of four set up their own little smoking section right on the promenade after dinner and before they went in to the theater.  They had no problem with tossing their cigarette butts in to the ocean either.  Very few smoke on the ships, most people are good to use the small smoking areas, but there seem to be a few "special" folks on every cruise.

I sincerely hope you reported them immediately - and again every time you saw it -  given the fire hazard and the littering, plus smoking outside a smoking area.
