Star Class Benefits

Recommended Posts

If staying in a suite with Star Class Benefits, I understand the amenities offered--priority embarkation/disembarkation, laundry, dlx beverage, specialty dining, etc.  What I want to know if what it doesn't cover--for example: Starbucks?  The candy store?  Other?

Booked three 1 bedroom GS's for extended family group of ten for May 2021 on Symphony. Everyone gets just Voom or Voom Surf & Stream?

A few off the top of my head.

Laundry, specialty dining, no charge room service from the regular menu as well as delivery from any open pay dining venues.  House keeping tips included. All hand made drinks at Starbucks are free, but nothing prepackaged being food or bottled drinks.  One Premuim Drink package per-person of legal age, non-alcoholic package for under age guests, 1 wifi access per-person, priority boarding and disembarking, saved show seating.  Early room access at 11am on boarding day, but that varies on the previous guests departure and how messy they left the room. And free in cabin movies, PG13 and up.  Roaming bar chart on sea days, which is hit and miss if you are in the cabin at the right time. Suite Lounge and Costal Kitchen access.

Also access to bridge tour, gallery tour, priority selection of pay cabanas at Labadee, escorts off the ship on port days.  On island perks at CoCo Cay are not the same as Labadee. No free access to the beach club, like at Barefoot.

Sorry to the randomness of them. I just typed it out as I thought about it.

Forgot to add too many snacks delivered in the afternoon as well as a stocked beverage supply in your room, just no hard liquor in bottles but shots can be requested.

GS is Sky Class, but should get Surf & Stream

No guarantees on how good it is, though😉

I knew about the other 2 but what the heck is a Guacamole class?

Offered at Sabor, which as of now is only on Allure.  It appears to still be there after dry dock, as of now, so I think it will still be offered.

Thanks for the answers.  I usually sail with Celebrity and we wanted to try an RC ship for a change.  We are aware of the extras not often listed with Celebrity but wanted to have the insider information from all of you regarding RC.  We would be staying in either the Aquatheater or Royal Loft Suite.

Does Navigator no longer have Sabor?  That was the ship on which we first tried Sabor.  Menu has been changed since then.

I’m not sure, but if so they might offer it.  That being said, there is no Star Class to get the free perk.

I have stayed in the ATS a number of times and the view is absolutely spectacular...but realize that the ATS are very isolated relative to the Suites Lounge and the Coastal Kitchen.  It is a LONG walk to get all the way aft.  While I do recommend the ATS for their very special amenities, I also no longer do the ATS b/c of their isolation.  I much prefer to be on Deck 17.  If I had a choice between the ATS or the RLS, it's a no-brainer.  The RLS would win every time !

I get that, but as a STAR passenger, I had very little use of the SL or CK. Plenty to do on deck 8

We like Star Class for the embarkation/debarkation, just love not standing and waiting in line.  Also the fact we tell a genie what we want and then never worry about when or where we have to be, they let us know.  I know for some they enjoy all the small details of what they will do and see on the ship but for me I like someone taking care of that.  The drink package is ok, we do not drink enough to get our money's worth if we had to purchase.  Also really like the specialty dining instead of the MDR.  We have had 5 cruises in Star Class and this last March went on Liberty and really realized how much we missed a genie.  We figured by the time we purchased the dining package, soda package, and everything else we could have went on a different ship in SC.  We also loved the ATS suite and watched the water show whenever they had it.  Really different from Deck 8 than from the bleachers.  The long walk was not bad, just a dark hallway, and that was how we justified the food that we would find on the table every afternoon.  I think it is kinda hard to describe the whole Star Class experience because it seems to be different for everyone.  Worth the extra money in my opinion, which is just that, my opinion.

I love Star Class but Dan really doesn't.  He dislikes the constant interruptions from deliveries and the phone seems to never stop ringing.  He would much prefer just being in an Owner's Suite and having the UDP.  We've had great Genies and some that weren't all that great but I've never had a bad SC experience.  Truth be told, I've never had a bad cruise, period.

We found that the Genie was really more "helpful" on Anthem than on any of the O class cruises.  There are just more activities (North Star, bumper cars, etc.) where having a Genie really made a difference.  I prefer the suites on the O class but really appreciated the Genie more on the Q class.

I agree about the genies on Q class.  We had the same genie 3 times and he got to know what we liked and when we wanted to do things.  Really great for the granddaughter and bumper cars.  She went on them every time and had a blast.  I never noticed them calling us that often, even on Oasis, and it seemed like the service was a little more personal if you chose on Anthem.  But I agree, never had a bad SC cruise.  Can't say I never had a bad cruise, our Liberty cruise in March seemed off from the time we got on board.

No Sabor on NV anymore.  Lost in the amplification, now it's a Seafood venue called Hooked.

Haven't been on the Navigator in quite a long time.  Didn't know it had been changed.  Guess it won't be long before Sabor is just a memory on any ship. 🙂

Sabor is sort of a Johnny-come-lately anyway.
