Picture-A-Week 2020 - Week 24

 Share

Recommended Posts

Pictures taken between Monday, June 8 and Sunday, June 14.

The world is opening up even more. Stay safe and shoot some pictures of it!

Stay well.

Rules: See above

That's it. This isn't a contest.

All photos taken this week are welcome (not just cruising).

Prizes will not be awarded. Discovering the joy of photography is the prize.

The idea is to get folks out using their cameras for more than vacations and toddler birthdays.

Post one. Post many. Up to you.

Have fun with your camera and share your fun with others!

Speak for yourself on the world opening up!  Still pretty locked down and closed down here in that part of Florida that has nothing in common with the rest of Florida! (Our state is phase 2 and nearly fully open, but the three SE counties that had the highest Covid rates, all three of which are populated firmly by northeasterners while the rest of the state is as southern as can be, are still as restrictive as a penitentiary!  I actually found no inspiration to take any photos this past weekend - that's rare...but I'm sick of my back yard.  😉

We are easing restrictions in my state, which have had some of the toughest in Australia.

Went to Serrindip Sanctuary today, Tuesday,  (cold, bright sun).

A couple of oddities for you folk.

Spotted quoll, also spot-tailed quoll, tiger quoll ( about the size of a large cat). In an enclosure

Another milestone on the road back to whatever "normal" will be. The local distillery/speakeasy that became a favorite place to socialize with friends survived the shutdown by switching to sanitizer production. They were even able to retain their entire staff by training them on the processes necessary to produce and bottle their new product line. Friday was the soft re-opening by reservation only with temperature checks, distance between tables and masked employees. We met friends and enjoyed one of their signature cocktails during our allotted hour. The staff was obviously overjoyed to be open for business and we were happy to be able to sit and chat somewhere outside of the house. Cheers, Citrus Grove Distillers. Glad you made it.
