We drove from Tn so, we had our own car. We stayed in Cocoa Beach at the Holiday Inn Express. It was nice. I think the Radisson has a shuttle bus, but not sure. You can rent a car or get transfers from Carnival to the port from the airport.

It is a 45 minute to an hour drive. We are staying at the Radisson at the Port again, we really enjoyed it the last time. There is also Ron Jon's Resort that has been posted before, try and do a search or wait for someone to tell you about it. At the Radisson we are paying $85 for their standard room for two with a king bed, it is their internet special on-line.

Port Canaveral is about 45 minutes East of Orlando International Airport. Take the North Exit from the Airport, staying to the right, to S.R. 528 (Beeline Expressway) East. Take S.R. 528 directly to Port Canaveral.

Hope someone else can help you with the Hotels question. Have a good trip

We are staying at the Radisson at the Port. We paid $105 for one night. They have a shuttle that takes you to the port. You get to park at the hotel for free while you are on the ship, instead of paying to park at the port. The shuttle is free. Hope this helps!

You will probably get a better price at the Radisson, but the Ron Jon Resort is a destination all by itself. We only live 45 minutes from the port, but I'm waiting till I see a special at Ron Jon so we can stay there one weekend. Here are links to their website and my pictures of the resort:

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Cocoa Beach. We felt safer staying closer to the port just in case we overslept the next morning - didn't want to be in a rush if you know what I mean. The HIE was a 5-10 minute ride to the port depending on the traffic lights.

When we arrived at Orlando, we had reserved a car with Budget and was pleased with the process and driving to Th Radisson at THe Port. We had a full day there on Friday so we wanted a car at our disposal and it worked out fine. Saturday morning I dropped the car off at the Budget office down the street from THe Radisson, and walked back to the hotel and got the shuttle later with my family and our group. I found that the drive to/from the airport was about 35 minutes and quite easy. If you say at the Radisson, make a reservation with them for their complimentary shuttle to the pier in advance. Budget also has a free shuttle to the pier from their Cocoa Beach office.

Enjoy!

ciao
