cruisegirl1 Posted June 14, 2020 #27 Share Posted June 14, 2020 OP - sorry no. The docs were likely computer generated regardless of RCCL future plans. I had a recent cancelled cruise yet every day when I should have been on the cruise I received a cruise planner reminder of dinner reservations. Ouch! I hope you get to cruise. m

The primary concerns are the tunnels, bridges and mass transit in and out of the city. A reporter asked about Cruise ship ports opening, and some one on the stage, NOT the person giving the press conference but one of those who stand in the background jumped in and said no cruises this year. I went to the Port Authority web site that lists ALL the news releases, some a few times a day, and there is no mention about Cruise ships. Only talk concerning the ports are commercial cargo and oil shipping, supply chain issues.
Coralc Posted June 14, 2020 #31 Share Posted June 14, 2020 Here is the NOLA.com article about cruise ships being prohibited. It also states that there will be another evaluation in 21 days. PTAngel Posted June 14, 2020 #32 Share Posted June 14, 2020 I am paying close attention to the NY/NJ cruise ship ports as I am booked to cruise Oct 18 on Oasis OTS from Bayonne, NJ. I went to the port authority website for Port Liberty & found no information. I have read that the bigger ships will be sailing first so I am hopeful. Now this rumor has come up about NY/NJ & I'm hoping it is just that (rumor).
Melissahoyer Posted June 14, 2020 #33 Share Posted June 14, 2020 Everyone gets edocs at 49 days out - it has nothing to do with the ship actually sailing. That is not true. I’m 48 days out. August 1 sailing. I haven’t received anything Sent from my iPhone using Forums

sugcarol Posted June 14, 2020 #36 Share Posted June 14, 2020 Texas is spiking, so I have my doubts, sailings out of Galveston in August or even September. will be a go.
Melissahoyer Posted June 14, 2020 #37 Share Posted June 14, 2020 I just checked my account. It said you have no documents at this time. 😔
Spurschick Posted June 15, 2020 #38 Share Posted June 15, 2020 (edited) I might check in for our August and September cruises to pass 5 minutes. The way I look at it, if I keep checking in I might make it on board eventually 🤞🏻 Edited June 15, 2020 by Spurschick

Yes, I recall that post on CC, and I, too, researched it as much as possible and found no evidence to support or refute it. Repeating rumors heard only on CC does not make them truer. Thank you for reposting the original information. Very helpful. I cannot recall any instances of my posting false information on Cruise Critic. Perhaps @Casino Comp Chick can produce some evidence to the contrary. 🙂

I received mine this morning for the Independence on August 3. I did take a look at the luggage tags, for old times’ sake 😢. There is still a tiny bit of hope, but....
