Does Celebrity Lift & Shift include prepaid Air Fare?

Recommended Posts

We're think of doing the Lift & Shift to move our 12/13/20 Caribbean cruise out of Tampa to the same cruise on 12/13/21.  We've already paid our airfare for the return trip.   We got a really good price for first class so we decided to prepay the flight so we could book the seats we wanted.

Does anyone know if they will Lift & Shift our return flight, too - at the price we paid - or will we get a credit?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Did you book a refundable fare?

According to my Celebrity Travel Consultant I can cancel my return flight reserved through Flights by Celebrity.

My guess the flight portion would be cxled and refunded if that is how it was booked thru celebrity.

Just did the Lift & Shift today.  Waiting for new booking confirmation.  My TA said that the flight was cancelled and would be refunded.  Just have to wait and see if so, and how long it takes!!!

Answer is simple:  NO

I lifted and shifted two cruises from July 2020 to July 2021...

Airfare (Booked on Celebrity Choice Air and paid in full) was REFUNDED.

Lift and Shift applies only to the cruises themselves.

ADD:  BTW, I had a great fare--round trip LAX to Rome non stop there...$710 pp.  When flights start becoming available for my 2021 dates...in about 4-6 weeks, we'll see where fares are at...I assume we will be paying a bit more for those next year.

I had to give up First Class seats for about $375 each.  Probably won't get the same deal next year.  Darn!
