Right now everything in the cruise industry is very sad and a bit too harsh too.   I hear some airlines are ignoring CDC advice and putting folks in the middle seats.  News should go after them now and stop picking on cruise lines.

Ok my rant  is over now.     .Sigh

agree

A farewell photo of the three sisters together one last time.

We will always remember our first cruise on the Monarch of the Seas. Had the best time on that old ship. Probably the only thing I did wrong was thinking it was a good idea to get on stage for the Love and Marriage Game Show.

Looks like they've taken anchorage in Malta.

Posters on the Pullmantur threads say Monarch is headed for the scrapyard, but she's having a rendezvous with X Infinity about 40 miles west of Aliaga.

Such a sad thing to hear.  We has many cruises on the Monarch, and had a great time on all of them.C49EBFAB-6E68-4481-AB8D-DF7B3C2FAF82.jpeg.a8912c26de810e0310343695cc541b51.jpeg

I would love the opportunity to purchase fixtures or furnishings off one of these soon to be retired cruise ships. A couple of lounge chairs and table would be fun to have, nice conversation piece. I don't know what happens when these items are removed from ships or sold off but I wish some of it would hit ebay; I'd bid!

Peter Knego buys and sells cruise ship furniture and other items.  He is a well known cruise journalist.  Midshipcentury.com is the website as I recall.
