Picture-A-Week 2020 - Week 28

 Share

Recommended Posts

Pictures taken between Monday, July 6 and Sunday, July 12.

Rules: See above

That's it. This isn't a contest.

All photos taken this week are welcome (not just cruising).

Prizes will not be awarded. Discovering the joy of photography is the prize.

The idea is to get folks out using their cameras for more than vacations and toddler birthdays.

Post one. Post many. Up to you.

Have fun with your camera and share your fun with others!

Melbourne (Oz) is about to go into a 6 week lock down from midnight tonight. So, used some time on Wednesday evening to get some sunset time photos across Hobsons Bay to the city. Lots of yachts in Hobsons Bay. Photos are looking towards the east.

At least we are allowed out for exercise, so the camera can still come with me.

Our back yard garden is beginning to peak and we are struggling to find new ways to incorporate tomatoes into soups, salads, snacks and just about every meal. Unlike a lot of the first time "quarantine gardens", we have been planting something or other for most of the last decade. As stated, the tomatoes are doing well and our grape vines are producing small, sweet grapes after years of teasing us with sour little pellets. The zucchini are being harvested early to avoid the previous year’s 8-lb. behemoths with what looked like watermelon seeds in them. We only planted a few cucumbers and they are providing salad components reliably. Maybe a few more cucumbers for pickles next year and cut back on tomatoes...unless the tomato ice cream turns out well.
