What is the best thing you've ever won on RCI? Bingo? Slots? Lotto? Champagne?

I've always wondered if anyone has ever won the lottery at the casino.  Wonder what the highest jackpot ever was?  Has anyone won big at bingo like a free cruise?  Anything exciting won at raffles?  Did anyone guess the painting price and actually win the artwork?  Grab anything thrown at the cruise shopping lectures?  Goodie bags from the Next Cruise presentations? Has anyone kept anything they've won or has it landed on Ebay or the recycling bin?  Are these "prizes" going away when cruising resumes?

We guessed the murderer in there murder mystery and won a backpack of junk , like pictured above kept the hat gave away the rest , did win several hundred playing roulette on my last rccl cruise on oasis but normally lose.

DW and I took the kids on a 5 night cruise years ago. DW plays bingo, to which the kids said...no way!

On the last day, noting the BIG final day prize, DW finally talks them into attending Bingo.

 

They share a card. College Daughter plays first round, a terrible card. My college age son says, I’ll take the next round and show you how to do it. 

After first 3 numbers are called, he stands up saying he only needs one more number.  

 

The cruise staff sort of calls him on it, saying he obviously doesn’t understand bingo.  They check the card, because of the free space, yes he only needs one more number.  On the fifth number he hits bingo.  Like $150 or so payoff.

 

Then on the “final” card of the cruise, the coverall for the big prize, he is again the first to need only one number. The crowd was hilarious, saying, no fair, the lucky kid already has won once already, on 5 stinking numbers no less.  The next number he hits the coverall, pays off $2100.  His tuition was due the next week so that is what it mostly was used for.

I won a free cruise as first prize in a 5k road race organised by Oasis of the Seas during a port call in Saint Martin. It was called the Royal 5k and was back in early December 2012. The start was on the pier, right beside the ship, and the course took us all the way into town along the front and back.

I still have my race number. 😊

Won a free 5 night cruise on bingo.  Paper card. I couldn’t talk any of my family into coming to bingo and they couldn’t believe it.  Until then I’m notoriously unlucky at bingo.

 

we let our son play hooky from school and had a great time on our free cruise (that after airfare etc wasn’t totally free but still super cheap).

I love the camera case, used it for my cellphone.  We won a lot of the little stuff, the backpack was the worst, fell apart on the way back to the cabin!  Also champagne at the Meet and Mingle on Harmony, wasn’t the best but I like cheap champagne 😉

On my last cruise the CD was raffling off prizes.One was a tee shirt that fits nobody.

I told my wife that I hoped to win it.I did not but a woman seared behind me overheard what I said and she gave it to me which was very life of her.I wore the shirt on the cruise and again last week.It is a size 2X and I wear a L .

A coverall bingo for $1,800.  Some jackpots on slots.  And a few raffles in the casino.  But the most exciting win was Bingo. That was before the advent of those awful electronic machines, which took the fun away for me.

On our September Mariner cruise last year - watch a lady hit progressive jackpot for 24k on slots- it was the talk of the 4 night cruise. All the staff was talking about it. Most I have ever witnessed hit on a cruise ship.

I won't go into detail on my slots ups and downs, but here is my favorite:

 

I was on the Majesty.  It was the first time that they were "giving" you "free play".  (they do it all the time now).

 

I downloaded THEIR $5 and promptly turned it into $87.  Cashed out and walked away chuckling.

I was hanging out previewing some art to be auctioned, and this crew member walked up and said that because she thought I was special, she gave me a glass of free champagne. Not only did I get free champagne, but knowing I got it because there was something special about me made it even sweeter.

Won a cruise in review tape once. Glad I hadn’t paid for it as it was mainly stock footage. Did win $250 on a quarter slot before the casino became a smoking lounge.
