Alesund, Molde, or Flam?

Recommended Posts

There may be personal preferences, but for me there is no doubt at all 1. Flåm, 2. Ålesund and 3. Molde.

Flåm is located in the heart of the Aurlandsfjord, a branch of the world's deepest and second longest fjord, the 204 kilometer long Sognefjord and right by the Nærøyfjord is the world's narrowest fjord - part of the UNESCO World Heritage List. Scenic cruising when sailing into Flåm, driving with Flåmsbanan (Railway), cycling on Rallarvegen and wiewpoint Stegastein.

Ålesund is a very picturesque Art Nouveau city. Possible with a day trip to the UNESCO-protected World Heritage Site Geirangerfjord, or to the bird island Runde.

Molde is Located at the mouth of the Romsdalsfjord.  Possible day trips to Atlanterhavsvejen, Trollstigen and Geiranger.
