vandrefalk Posted August 5, 2020 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2020 Well, the picture in the article certainly isn't SD! There was a FB post from SD that said all the crew were negative. SD was very complimentary about the speed with which the tests were processed. Guests on board were expected to be tested promptly as well. Apparently Norway knows how to do this! But so sad that the rest of the Norway cruises appear to be cancelled. It was a great idea for them to do this and I know they do it well, having been on the first cruise back in 2011. We will just have to wait and see what the future holds. Vandrefalk
Scspartan76 Posted August 5, 2020 #3 Share Posted August 5, 2020 And the fox news article claims 123 guests... have they expanded SeaDream I? That was one bad article
Ragnar Danneskjold Posted August 6, 2020 #4 Share Posted August 6, 2020 I wonder if Seadream allows a third person in a cabin, sleeping on the couch? We found the couch rather uncomfortable for sitting, I wonder if it is a fold out bed, at least in some cabins?
vandrefalk Posted August 6, 2020 #5 Share Posted August 6, 2020 Yes they do - or at least did - but it’s not fold out. Years ago on a President cruise, Bob Lepisto’s daughter stayed on it, I think
Scspartan76 Posted August 6, 2020 #6 Share Posted August 6, 2020 They do but max capacity can not go over 112 regardless. Capt Steinar told me when I sailled that max number of souls onboard can be 208, due to lifeboats

DWhit Posted August 12, 2020 #9 Share Posted August 12, 2020 Sweet! Glad to hear all were OK. Looking forward to a cruise in the Caribbean over my birthday on March 1, 2021 on Seadream. Hopefully things will settle down enough to allow the trip to take place.
