Thank you for the daily report.  We seem to have more dog lovers but I know we have a few cat lovers as well.  Garage sales must be socially distanced these days and probably not happening very often.  We have many odd laws but Virginia must be near the top of the list.  Think there's one mishap in the list, Rotterdam did pass Gibralter on 8/6 and is now crossing the Bay of  Biscay on the way to Rotterdam.  I wonder if she will deviate a bit on the way in and share a final salute with Zaandam and Nieuw Statendam.

I was going to suggest Fillet Mignon and Chilled Strawberry Bisque  as served on the Prinsendam 8/8/11 but Grilled Chicken and Mango Skewers sounds awfully good as well.

I caught that yesterday and fixed it before I hit "post", but failed to update the master list. It is fixed now

My August 8 sunrise was taken from an early walk to Canada Place.  Later that day my brother, his SO, and I boarded the Radiance of the Seas to Seward.  In addition to the sunrise I watched the arrival of the Radiance and Zaandam.  They flew home from Alaska while I spent 2 days in Seward before boarding the Statendam, my only time on her.

Today I am doing different "where am I" posts on the Crystal and HAL forums.  Each is a place I don;t think the other line has ever been.  My HAL photo is a little collage:

Thank you for today’s Daily, Rich! Morning Dailyites & my Sisters! Denise, haven’t seen much from you. Hope all is well! A gorgeous morning here after a whopper of a storm last evening.

No garage sales here, and though I do not currently have a feline family member, I will happily celebrate their day!

What a bizarre law. Bet it has an interesting backstory. The meal sounds amazing. As does the wine. Great price range, and consistent high ratings 89-90 range.  Here is Wine Spectator’s take:

WS90
Wine Spectator
Polished, supple tannins support the black cherry, red plum and wild raspberry notes of this juicy red, with savory touches of mineral and herb on the clean finish. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Best Buy

Prayers to all on our official & unofficial Care lists & Woo Hoo🎉 to all on the Celebration list!

Here are pics of my girls. ❤️  Stay well everyone!

Lots of garage sales here today so I guess lots are celebrating the day 😉  Yikes on the quote - no bathtubs?  I won’t be living there.

Dinner suggestion sounds good.  Have some left over chicken so I might pick up some mango.  Wine sounds lovely.

@Seasick Sailor - oh no on Allen 😞. Sending lots of prayers for him.

@rafinmd - hope your mouth is feeling better today.

More blooms on the hydrangea.  It’s showing off from a distance now.

Good morning, thanks for the Daily!  It's always International Cat Day at our house - we've only ever had 1 at a time, but they've always been pampered.  Here's a pic of our Sochi; her chaise is actually made of corrugated cardboard, but it looks quite regal.

image.thumb.jpeg.aebbfc189faf5c2389ddfecc2085a84d.jpeg

I love the dinner suggestion for tonight - I'm sure I have a couple of chicken breasts in the freezer that I could cut in strips for skewers.  That along with leftover Tex-Mex salad will make a great dinner for us on a hot August night.  And wine.

Prayers for those who need them - Joy, special prayers coming your way for Allen's return to good health, and for your strength seeing him through - and for those who don't think they do.  Be safe, stay well!

Smooth Sailing!  🙂🙂🙂

Good morning.

Love the Daily!

I saw signs for a garage sale the other day when I was walking the dog.  No cats in our house, but my late sister-in-law loved cats, she had 4.  Now, my brother looks after them.

The dinner suggestion sounds good.

Thanks to everyone for the pictures.

Sending prayers for everyone on the Care List.

Be kind, be safe, be healthy.  Don't forget your mask.
