Prepaid liquor purchase?

Recommended Posts

What happens to the money paid for bottles of liquor purchased for an upcoming cruise

that has been cancelled?

If we take FCC do those dollars become part of the FCC or are they refunded?

(I  wish they would simply switch it to the same booze on the next boat but since the price is now a lot higher

I'm sure they won't do that).

Like all prepaid purchases for things on board, it will be refunded to the credit card you used to purchase it.

They can’t switch it - but cash in your hand is a good thing and that is exactly what will happen.  any booze, drink packages, shore excursions, OBC, etc that you pre-purchased will be refunded to your credit card.

I asked for a refund for an October cruise yesterday. Today, the Myers Rum Refund arrived. Of course, it was for the old $36/bottle price.

Just got an email from HAL saying my purchase will be refunded according to sail dates.  I can't imagine it being as prompt as SeeSun&Sea's but that would be nice.

When I cancelled my cruises, my on board purchases were refunded quite quickly - within 4 days in one case and 24 hours for the other.  The refunds for the deposits and cruise took much longer of course. 😉
