Anyone done any chartered cruises? Which one and how was it? I see they have some rock ones, tejano ones, and some nude ones. Such a variety!

We do charter music cruises , there is a tread on this rock and romance which is 70’s artists like America , Micheal McDonald Etc , same company offers music from the 50’s , 60’s , 80’s , soul, country etc . Lots of music and fun cost more than normal. Have done it last 3 years.

I've done the Star Trek Cruise three times and am booked for the 2022 cruise that was rescheduled from 2021. They are great fun!  Everyone on board has shared interests. I love the non-stop specialty programming all day and well into the night. The charter company even uses a few of the TV channels for 24/7 Star Trek episodes and movies, so you can stay in the mood if you go take a break in your cabin. At least on the Star Trek Cruise, almost every venue is taken, so there are no "regular" cruiseline shows and activities, everything is Star Trek. In fact, the cruise director is not the ship's regular CD, he is an employee of the charter company. Most of the bars and some of the restaurants are converted to a Star Trek theme. The spa is still available, as is the casino and art gallery. I don't recall seeing anyone in the gallery the times I walked through and the casino was very sparsely occupied.

I've never been on one of the music charters, though I keep thinking about going on the Disco cruise.

We have been on 4 Nude charter cruises and had a great time on all of them.  We were already nudists and belong to a nude resort near us, so the aspect of being nude on the cruise was appealing and several friends were going on the first one we took back in 2016 and convinced us it was worthwhile.

Now, for all the "OMG NUDE PEOPLE YUCK" fols, rest assured the most important #1 rule of nudists is that you ALWAYS sit on a towel.  There were piles of towels all over the ship so no one went without a towel to sit on, and this is heavily "policed" both by fellow nudists and the people who run the charter and run resorts.  Also, clothing was required when in port, in dining areas, when the Captain had events, when pilots were aboard.  A couple people broke these rules and one was put off the ship before we even left port and one was put off the ship in Grand Turk for going on their balcony nude when pulling into the dock.

The charter company had theme parties each night, had their own Cruise Director who worked along with the one from the Cruiseline as well as brought on Bands, DJs, people to run seminars and craft making sessions to support the themes of the parties.

Each port had colthing otional Shore Excursions availible as well as the "normal" ones.  Each stopped at Private Islands or Cruise line owned ports where clothing was optional in those areas.

While the price for these was above the brochoure rate for an equivilant cruise, in our opinion it was well worth it the biggest benefit was ZERO KIDS on these cruises.

Oh, and to answer the questions that everyone who is not a nudist / naturist has in their head - No one goes on thse to look at other people, no one comments on how someone "shouldn't be naked looking like that" and there is stricktly NO PDA, no focus on sexuality.  Nudists are not "sex fiends" they just like sun on their skin when in an appropriate environment.

A charter cruise can take over the whole ship, or it might not. When it's not a full ship, those who are part of the charter will have wristbands that give them access to special events. Do a google search to find the type of cruise you want from quilting to big band music. If it's a music themed cruise, you will pay an extra price to cover the fees for the musicians. If you want to see some of your favorite bands close up, it's well worth the extra price. We've done it 2x and just booked our 3rd!
