Everything... project Leonardo/Prima class!

normally, the name of the class of ship is the name of the 1st ship.

ie: dawn class = dawn

jewel class = jewel

breakaway class = breakaway

thus Leonardo class = Leonardo, followed by Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, and April.  :)

To be accurate, this is not the Leonardo Class. It is only Project Leonardo.

 

Similar example can be found in Royal Caribbean.

Their Quantum Class were originally known as Project Sunshine.

But the first ship was not named as Sunshine of the Seas.

 

Hence the "project name" and the "name of the class" can be different.

Breakaway Class was still Project Breakaway.

And Norwegian Epic was originally known as F3 Project (but surely it can't be named as Norwegian F3).

The Norwegian Escape was known as Project Seahawk before being officially named as Norwegian Escape.

I believe the Star was actually built first, but because it wasn't originally supposed to be built for NCL they didn't name the class after it

Hm on a 2nd thought, I am not sure if this is Leonardo. The ship in the background appears to be a Ponant ship, Tulcea shipyard delivered one in 2019. This might be a Virgin megablock perhaps?

 

The build in the foreground/background of this recently delivered ship, is that Leonardo?

Finciateri builds so many ships ( msc, Princess, Virgin getting big ships same year or before Leonardo) Hard to say, we need a expert for that ship yard.

The small nearly complete ship is one of the new Hapag Lloyd expedition ships.

In the recent video by Hapag-Lloyd showing the launch of Hanseatic Spirit, there is a large mega block of an unknown ship in the shipyard. I'm not sure if this is NCL Leonardo 1, or another cruise line's vessel.

Nice. How old is this? The mega block looks to me like virgin, MSC ( evo seaside or how they name the class) or the Leonardo.

At project miles they write in the brochure that 90% of the rooms have balcony. Hope

that there are some single studios with balcony at Leonardo.
