Rare Eli_6 Posted August 19, 2020 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2020 I was playing around with some mock bookings and noticed the only cruises that you can book for November right now in North America are the ones that go ONLY to Mexico. I found that interesting since U.S. citizens can travel by air to and from Mexico right now to places like Cancun, Cozumel, Cabo, the Riveria Maya, Puerto Vallarta, etc. without restrictions. I wonder if Carnival plans to start their cruising by sailing just to Mexican ports.
Tjcalley Posted August 19, 2020 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2020 Makes sense! We were looking at going to an AI in Cancun in December since we think our December cruise will be canceled
Florida Paesano Posted August 19, 2020 #3 Share Posted August 19, 2020 I'm looking at the website right now and cruises to Caribbean destinations are available. I am able to do a mock booking and get all the way to logging in to complete the booking. Maybe it was another website glitch?

When I looked all Vista was gone and only Dream sailings just to Mexico were up. All ones that went to Jamaica and Grand Cayman were gone. I was looking out of Galveston and also at the Panorama out of California.

Our cruise on the carnival freedom dec 13th was suppose to go to Cozumel, mahogany bay, and Belize. I didn’t get a notice regarding cancellation but it disappeared from website with no explanation. When I called in, I didn’t get a straight answer. All of the 4 and 5 day cruises on the dream were still showing as available. The ports of call were both Mexico though. Moviela Posted August 20, 2020 #7 Share Posted August 20, 2020 (edited) I see a lot of short cruises to a few Caribbean destinations. Could be others are sold out? Edited August 20, 2020 by Moviela
sanger727 Posted August 20, 2020 #8 Share Posted August 20, 2020 There are many cruises out of Port Canaveral that are going to places other than mexico and still up. Maybe you are filtering by the embarkation port, and that is all that is available for that port.
naxer Posted August 20, 2020 #9 Share Posted August 20, 2020 I see Jamaica, Bahamas, Belize, Grand Turk--the normal. Your search parameters might be too narrow.
jgor10 Posted August 20, 2020 #10 Share Posted August 20, 2020 It seems to be back to normal Itinerary after Dec 15th. I see a Carnival Paradise that suppose to sail on Dec 5th to mahogany bay and Cozumel. That same ship is also sailing to Grand cayman and Cozumel. Other than ship most Caribbean cruises still listed Prior to Dec 15th, don’t seem to go to Mexico + another country
Rare Banditswife Posted August 20, 2020 #11 Share Posted August 20, 2020 We are booked on a Journeys cruise to S Caribbean for Nov 1-15. I doubt it will sail, I just wish they'd be more open, so we can plan accordingly.
Lee Cruiser Posted August 20, 2020 #12 Share Posted August 20, 2020 Must have just been a glitch. Right now I am seeing cruises to multiple places still on the website. While I have my doubts they will happen, they are still listed for now.
