We flew there on a small plane from Raratonga and stayed in an old time motel, with bunches of bananas hanging on the verandah, from which to help ourselves. This is where I fell in love with the Cook Island people, who used to dance at the motel. We did a day trip to One Foot Island, where we had a picnic of freshly speared fish and coconuts, with salad, We were the only people on this beautiful island. We only did a day trip but we really loved it. I would love to return to the Cooks, visit Aitu and do a trip of their northern islands which they usually run about once or twice a year.
