ann141 Posted August 26, 2020 #178 Share Posted August 26, 2020 Gydina for Gdansk. We were grateful for taking a ships excursion that day as there were queues of traffic and our coach arrived after the 'all back onboard' time! We were on Norwegian Pearl doing the Seattle to Alaska cruise in August 2007. What a fabulous cruise it was and Glacier Bay was stunning. Cold country cruises are a different experience but amazing in their own way and it is warm in the ship hahaha.

Thanks, we were on the since infamous Diamond Princess in July 2007 Vancouver to Anchorage after a week in the Rockies/Rocky Mountaineer - best holiday we have had. I don't mind cold holidays, love the scenery and wildlife.

We spent time in Kalamazoo with American frIends that we met on a cruise and then flew to Regina, Saskatchewan, to stay with a childhood friend who had emigrated to Canada. From there we flew to Calgary and did the Rocky Mountaineer, stayed in Vancouver for 3 days and then got the train down to Seattle. We met up with my husband's American cousin and spent 4 days with her on Widbey Island before boarding Norwegian Pearl For the Alaska cruise......what an unforgettable trip! I love travelling
