Required to take a HAL excursion to leave the ship in future?

We take pictures with our iPhone so we can always get to the info if necessary.  I setup an album just for this purpose.

I have a cruise booked and I would think that if this were to become a condition HAL would have to advise everyone in writing.  

It’s not currently on my terms and conditions.

 

Our cruise is later so we will have a good indication of how things are going and any changes to the current “normal” we have been used to.  Hopefully by then there will also be a vaccine available.

I would expect them to notify us in writing of the new terms and conditions.  My concern is whether I could cancel without penalty if I didn't accept these new terms.

I use my under my undershirt and outershirt where ever I am when I am off the ship. 

 

But, I always keep some soiled tissues in a pocket to "reward" those who might be tempted to find what's there.

Your cruise is earlier than mine so I have time.

 

BUT, I would think that if the new terms and conditions weren’t agreeable one could cancel without penalty.  At least that’s the way it SHOULD be.

Actually, I have time since I haven't book it yet.  But I totally agree with you: that is what it SHOULD  BE.

But we all know that they write the rules, so should be and what comes to pass, may or may not coincide.

 

I do imagine if they change the rules but do not allow cancellation for those who do not wish to accept the new rules that there will be an outcry and a lot of negative publicity.

If HAL (or any cruise line) required a cruise line sponsored excursion as the only way to disembark at a port, I would hope they would schedule activities and entertainment onboard as if it were a sea day - as well as open the MDR for lunch, etc.  I assume that the shops and casino would have to be closed during the stop even with this restriction in place.  I expect a large percentage, if not majority, of the passengers would opt to stay onboard over the excursion route.  There may not even be enough slots available to handle a high percentage of the passengers.

Casinos are closed in accordance with the laws of the country you are visiting.  Once you are in their territorial waters their gambling laws are in force.  I think many lines in the US plan to start with cruises to no-where.  Those aren't my cup of tea but I am sure many would enjoy that.
