Curious as I just got a cruise voucher pickup offer for Holland, but I'm not really

We booked one out of the blue.  Really liked it.  Became members of Blue Chip Club (their casino group).  These were all offers emailed to us.  We love the nonsmoking casinos.  We have done scads of Carnival Corp.cruises but Celebrity has been better with their offers.

Celeb has Nonsmoking casinos?  Thats a huge Plus!   Much safer.

 

This thread is about Princess, so let me say, the fact Princess is STILL allowing smoking

inside the casino during Covid times, and were wearing masks?  Is a Huge Negative!

 

There are smoking areas Outside Princess ships where Unmasked smokers are allowed.

Theres also a cigar/smoking room close to the casino.

So WHY is smoking being allowed INSIDE the casino during covid masking?

I've been getting new ones about every week, and each one is valid for three voyages (though the freeplay is only available once). My problem is time.

I am getting great casino offers nearly weekly.  Most include Princess Plus which we find enticing.  Cabins offered vary offer to offer.  Each offer is for a minimum of three cruises each.  Wish we had more time and a much bigger bankroll.  We do appreciate the offers.  Have booked one Caribbean cruise and one 15 day Hawaii cruise.  Looking forward to both.  We have only sailed with Princess once so have been pleasantly surprised.  We are Platinum on NCL and haven't had any casino offers from them.  Disappointing.

NCL seems to be be really bad with their casino players; I was down 5-digits with them once, and they wouldn't even give me free drinks. No bouncebacks at all, and the only free cruise offers I've gotten were two while cruises were entirely halted... for an interior, up to five days.

I have been receiving a lot of offers as well. Like one every 2 weeks to 4 weeks. Just waiting for the right itinerary combined with the room type and I'll book.  The princess plus thrown in is pretty awesome.

We currently have 5 casino offers booked and another one in the works that I plan to book next week.  Going to be a busy year for us next year lol.  My latest offer has to be booked by November and is good for cruises until the end of 2023.

Princess Plus is a huge motivator for me 🍷

Same  here.  And even before COVID things had tightened up.    Last year got an offer from Princess.   Have not sailed on them in years.  Called and scored a 7 day balcony with drinks, WiFi and gratuities.    Kicker was $1000 free play !!!   NCL doesn’t come close

I know how you feel.  I'm Plat. with NcL and talked with casino dept. several months back, and they Still only offered  comp Inside.  🙄   Theres No Way I'm doin Insides anymore during covid,.....and No freeplay!   No thanks! 

 

Hopefully if you keep booking those casino comps with Princess?  The comps keep rolling in, has been my experience, and many of those above. 😚 With the Princess Plus included is icing. 😃

I have a comp casino cruise scheduled for January 2022 and it was originally Princess Plus, but upon looking at my info on Princess's website they show the comp amount of Drinks, service charge for same and free wifi but it doesn't mention anything regarding "gratuities" also known as crew incentive.  Do you think this is included?

Check your Travel Summary for your booking.

To be on the safeside, I always Print out (for proof) my Travel Summary.

My crew incentive is listed, but its best to double check.... then Print.

 

I have had a couple issues with cruises cancelled by Princess... then when I rebook it,

or do the Move over?  My Freeplay hasn't made the transfer.  So have had to call

several times about that.  Once FP appears back on my Travel Summary?

I reprint it. 

I watch TS like a hawk now...

 

You may want to check yours & see if crew incentive is listed as paid?

Then Print to bring with you.

Thats really great that you only sailed with Princess once and getting such good casino comps.

 

I'm also Plat with NCL but have mostly given up on them.  Had a host/person reach out

awhile back... but after our back & forth, and I explained that offering me Insides and No freeplay,

wasn't going to get me back to NCL....She saw the handwriting on the wall, and knew

I had a much much better place where I was.

 

The ONLY cruise I can think of that would get me back on NCL?  We did Venice and Monte Carlo

about 5 years ago.  Luved it.  I wish Princess went there.  I would definately like to go back.

It seems like they are really trying to fill up cruises for November and December this year.  Keep getting offers but waiting till 2022 to sail.  We already have a "free" balcony and $500 free play on a 7 day coastal on the Majestic for April 2022.  We also have a non casino cruise to Hawaii in January just praying that Hawaii will allow ships at that time

Agree they are trying to get more player/passengers in the next few months.  We just got another

comp with Sail by Jan. 23, 2022.

Friend of mine received similar offer.  Their only Ruby, and only got $100 FP, but for a Balcony

for someone who is not a good player?  Said if you got the time.....  Book it Dano.

I've been getting a bunch of offers lately. They have alternated between up to 35% off and comp stateroom offers. Lately the comp offers seem to be for certain cruises/sail dates.  
We are waiting for one that provides us flexibility to select dates that work for us, hopefully soon!
As others have mentioned, the Princess Plus is always a nice perk.

I have gotten balcony offers before,but received a free interior and $250 free play this time. What is a normal upgrade to balcony charge? The original rep charged $880 for balcony upgrade and $440 for Princess Plus. Another rep said she thought the $880 should include the Princess Plus. With all the covid and holiday hours, I will reach out to a supervisor next week, but just wondered what others have paid to upgrade.

Balcony upgrade charge can fluxuate depending on Where your itinerary is going.

For example, its going to cost more for Balcony upgrade on Alaska, vs. a Calif. Coastal.

You can ask & see if its worth it to you?

I've done several insides, and don't have a problem with 'em, but NOT during covid.

 

For me personally, if my comp offer Doesn't include PPlus?  I wouldn't pay extra for it.

 

IF youre booked on a VIP cruise?  YOu will probably get Free drink lanyards to use in casino.

Or if youre a good player?  You will probably get free drinks in the casino anyway.

Thanks for your reply. It is an 11 day Scandinavia cruise. I definitely want the balcony just thought $880 was high for an upgrade.

That would be too high for me. ☺️

I would rather have that dough for Tours, at all those ports.

I took a Meditteranean cruise few years ago & kept the inside cabin & was Fine with it.

Got a high floor where I walked up One flight of stairs & was Outside with all the views.

Didn't miss the balcony, with extra cost.

Whether you're an Inside cabin, or in a Suite, you all get to the same ports.🤗
