Every time I join the forum I have to log in, the little box to tick with stay logged on has gone. Is thisnew?

No.

More funny happenings yesterday.  I tried to report a post to be moved and was told what I want to do is not available on my account.  So I verified I was logged in, and then tried again.  Same result.  So I tried to reply and recommend the poster ask on the cruise line board.  And at the bottom it said I need to log in.  So I logged out, and in again and still could not reply.  I ended up going to my laptop (from my iPad) and everything worked.  EM

And later today, I was logged out on my iPhone and iPad as well.

As a FYI I don't have this issue. I get logged out on my iPhone, iPad every 7 to 10 days. Even when I have to log on that is no big issue for me as I have autofill which fills in the username and password with Touch ID of FaceID. I am using Safari 14 as my browser.

For about five or six days now, I have to log in each time I visit the forums. Back when so many were complaining about having to do this, I was not having the issue. Is there a fix, different browser or something else that can rectify this?

Small update, though it will seem more like a non update.  We may have found a few options to fix the logging in/out issues - though we do need to work out the details and then we have to get them on the queue for our tech team to tackle.  That is where we are with that problem.  I do apologize, but for the present time you may have to log back in when you visit.

The other issues mentioned here and in some other threads:  Not being able to post, the post editor bringing up old info or other posts already populated in, not being able to react etc   Those have been reported to the forums software developer.  Once I have more info on a fix I will let you know.  Those issues do seem to tie into cookies/cached webpages and many have found that deleting the cruise critic cookies on your browser and/or deleting cached webpages may help those issues while we are waiting on a more permanent fix from the developer.

If you need help with deleting those things for your specific browser, let us know what you are using and we can help 🙂

Thanks for the update.

Please don't remove the feature that retains previous posted text in a thread when adding a new post. It is easily cleared using the link. The feature facilitates moving between tabs and apps without having to retype content.

There is no indication that this feature will be removed.  I only mentioned as some members are experiencing issues that when they click into a post box, the editor is filling in ALL previous posts in the thread - not even just their own.

Having to log in every time I visit CC using my iPad (Safari) for the past week ☹️

It’s been particularly bad for me as well on my iOS devices. I’ve had to clear the CC cookies pretty much daily for the last few days in order to be properly logged in and able to reply in a thread without the entire thread appearing in my reply.  Also,  clicking on the number in the notification bell just sent the wheel spinning forever…

It’s a pain having to clear cache all the time etc.  The wheel keeps spinning when I finally get logged in and can’t “like” a post.  It is working less and less than it works.   I am on my iPhone 99% of the time if that makes a difference as to why there are so many bugs lately with CC.

Are you using the Safari browser? If so, have you tried using Chrome? And vice versa.

On an iPhone the only reason to use Chrome is if you like the Chrome interface better. It is basicly a skin over the Safari browser. The same with any other iOS browser. Apple only allows the Webkit engine on iPhones and iPads. (That is not the case with Macs)

The existing problem of being booted off just seems to be getting worse.  Clearing the CC cookies does nothing.  No matter what device  -- Windows laptop, iPhone, or iPad -- or the browser -- Chrome or Safari -- I have to log back in just about every day, and often multiple times on the same day.   I don't have this problem with any other web site on which I am logged in and ask to remain logged in.  I'm not an IT expert, so obviously I don't understand what the problem is or could be, but it is getting beyond annoying and frustrating.

@CC Help Jenn

Things are not getting any better.  Is this still being worked on?  It’s extremely frustrating as I’m sure you’ve heard/read.   Thanks.
