Heading to Alaska from Seattle

and thinking of booking a signature suite on the Eurodam. Is it better to be on the right or the left side of the ship roundtrip out of Seattle?

Doesn't matter, you go up and you come down.

We have done Alaska out of Seattle with  both port and starboard side cabins. It doesn't make much of a difference.

I like being on the left side (port) for that reason ---- I like watching the arrival & departure of the ship.

But as discussed here many times, the ship can dock on either side. It doesn't only dock on the "port" side. I agree with the others, side of the ship only matters in less than 10 specific locations in the world, like sailing into or out of Venice, for example. And that is only for a few hours on a specific day, usually.
