carnival marketing disconnect

We had booked a Carnival cruise for mid-October 2020. Now obviously there will be no cruise but the e-mails from carnival continue to come regularly. Today for example I got one saying: "Only 14 days until yor cruise..." Does not Carnival marketing live on the same planet as operations?

i think those emails that 14, etc days to your cruise is automatic, not from carnival marketing

 

if your booking is canceled and not in your cruise manager then you should not receive those emails

It's an email bot - probably no-one staffing or monitoring the system while everyone is on hiatus.  It would actually take work to switch that off!

I noticed that for some time after my first cancelled cruise.  It also stayed in my Manage

Your Cruise for a long time.

 

It seems not all of their automated systems are integrated.

That reminds me - I have a cruise booked for November 2 and have not received upgrade offers, which is unusual.  Anybody else get an offer?

They are likely just e-mails that are automatically sent out by their computer system. I have gotten similar e-mails for cancelled cruises on RCI and Celebrity.
