Terms & Conditions:

*The Pay Early Incentive offer (“Offer”) is based on a promo code (DH) and is only valid on select (indicated) sailings booked by calling 1-(877)-724-5425 no later than October 31, 2020 (“Eligible Cruise(s)”). Cruises booked: (i) in which the guest does not call to request the Offer using the promo code; (ii) after October 31. Offer valid on Holiday 2020 and later voyages. Excludes voyages 21+ days, Grand World voyages, complimentary or free rooms offered by HAL casino. Other restrictions and exclusions apply. Offer and its terms subject to change. The Offer consists of three separate offers (each a “Separate Offer”) as set forth below. There is a limit of one (1) Separate Offer per booking and one item per Separate Offer (i.e. each booking may only take advantage of one Separate Offer and, if applicable, in such Separate Offer, only one offer item). Separate Offers are not combinable and once a Separate Offer is selected/applied, such elections are final and guests cannot change to redeem a different Separate Offer. If a booking becomes eligible for more than one Separate Offer, the Separate Offer shall be determined by the first Separate Offer it became available for. For onboard spending credits, the following terms apply: Onboard spending credits are in USD and are not refundable or transferable and have no cash value. Onboard spending credits expires at the end of the booked Eligible Cruise, and may not be used in the casino or on gratuities or other specified fees or items.

Pay Early Installment Separate Offer: Guests that pay a $250, $500, or $750 early installment by October 31, 2020 on an Eligible Cruise will receive an onboard spending credit for the Eligible Cruise as follows: payment of $250 installment eligible for US$50 onboard spending credit, payment of $500 installment eligible for US$125 onboard spending credit, and payment of $750 installment eligible for US$250 onboard spending credit. Maximum onboard credit US$250; no incremental or additional on-board credits shall be awarded. Installment payment must be applied to cruise fare balance to be eligible for the Offer. Limit of one onboard credit per booking, regardless of how many installment payments and/or the value of each that are made. Guests using a Future Cruise Credit are eligible for the Installment payment option, as long as the booking remaining balance due (after FCC) is equal to or greater than the installment payment being made.

EZPay Separate Offer: Guests that sign up for the EZPay payment plan by October 31, 2020 for the Eligible Cruise will receive a US$250 onboard credit. In order to sign up for EZPay, guest must call 1-(877)-724-5425 and sign up for EZPay after making the booking deposit. Deposit is required to sign up for EZPay. Guests using a Future Cruise Credit are ineligible for this Offer.

10% Discount Separate Offer: Guests must pay in full by October 31, 2020 for Eligible Cruise to receive a 10% discount (which will only apply to the gross cruise-only base fare and does not apply to taxes, expenses, or port fees) and an $250 onboard spending credit. Full payment means full balance of the booking (including, without limitation, any air, excursions, transfers, or hotels). Guests using a Future Cruise Credit are ineligible for this Offer. Offer is subject to availability, and may be capacity controlled and may be modified or withdrawn at any time without prior notice. Discount is not valid on any optional packages including but not limited to: air, private car transfers, or pre/post packages. Ships’ registry: The Netherlands.

Future Cruise Credit cannot be combined with the above offers.

Exclusions: Discount codes ’CH’ and ‘BG’ are excluded from this promo.

Ann, we are on the October 21 cruise together, and I received the email today.

I noticed that one of the restrictions is that you can't use FCC and also the promo code, so I will have to figure that one out!

Can someone explain the exclusions?   Why on earth do they exclude longer cruises, what is the thought process?

I have no idea.  I am on a 29 day cruise and got the offer.  I have not called on it.  If I do, will let you know what I find out.

When they offered it last my TA called and they said no, my cruise did not qualify.

If the cruise is a SINGLE voyage of 21+ days or longer, and cannot be booked as shorter segments, it is excluded. If a cruise is actually a “combination”  voyage that consists of two or more independent segments totaling 21+ days then it applies. HAL sell quite a few cruises like this.

I was thinking I would have to purchase the two segments separately...

I’m booked on the 29 day Mediterranean Mosaic & Dream in October 2021. We booked it as one cruise and were able to get the $250 obc by making a $750 payment on top of the deposit payment. That was few months ago though.  Had we booked it as 2 cruises we could have gotten the offer for both segments. The cost savings for booking as one cruise outweighed the potential additional obc.

Note to edit - our sailing is only 19 days. I don’t know where my head was at. So maybe I am wrong on sailings of 21+ days booked as one sailing rather than the two separate segments. Sorry if I gave any misinformation 😥

I hate it when the offer is connected to a prepayment. These days making a prepayment is like the riskiest thing there could be. Moreover, what would be the point of this deal if the cruise will be cancelled like the very last minute? exactly, nothing. So, I would personally avoid it

The cruiselines are getting desperate for cash. This way they get it without any insurance that the booked cruise will eventually be sailed. With this money they probably pay back (some) of the deposites on cancelled cruises.

No matter how I like cruising, I don't see any light in the tunnel for a long time to come and it would be foolish to book anything at all.

It is more and more getting similar to a pyramid scheme.

We haven’t received the offer.  I’m wondering if it’s because our booking is in Canadian dollars?

Yes, they want cash 😉  Mind you that’s a decent return on $750. 😉

If I bite, it will be on this deal of $250obc for an additional $750.  I am waiting a bit as I am still trying to get my reservation from direct booking to my PCC.  She is off for an extended period(not sure what this means), so it has been a process.  I put the cruise on HOLD through a Saturday chat, to secure the cabin I wanted.  I told the chat person what I was doing and he had no problem with it going from direct booking to my PCC on Monday.  This all started on September 18 and made my deposit on Sept 24 through PCC department, but, reservation still showing under direct booking.  Anyway, I will spare you the details.  But, HAL is not making it easy when in my mind I am saving them TA commission!  What is the problem?!

Yikes.  Just a thought.  There should be another PCC covering for yours.  Try calling your PCC number and talk to the alternate.  Ask them to transfer it to your PCC.  They should be able to do it, I would think.

There isn't.  It is all very mysterious.  I have talked to the PCC department on Sept. 21, 24, and yesterday.  I spoke to 3 different PCC's.   I sent a detailed email to Risa with names/times/conversations on September 28 as I was told she would be back this day.  No response.  When I called yesterday they said she will be back Oct. 12.  I did say to them if for some reason she is no longer working there feel free to reassign reservation to a different PCC.  As I say, it is all very mysterious, lol.  So, finally yesterday it was sent to a "supervisor" to see if they would approve assigning from direct to PCC department.  I know I leave some $$ on the table not using a TA, but, I've not had good experience with TA's.

Wow!  That is abysmal 😞

TA’s are like PCC’s.  There are some good ones and bad ones, sadly.

A few years ago I made a reservation online on a weekend and then called my PCC  on Monday. She had to cancel my original booking and then create a new one.

Has this offer ever been made pre-Covid?

If you would pay in full for the 10% discount, I wonder if that is considered your final payment in regards to penalties for cancellation.

I do not believe I have seen an offer like this Pre-Covid.
