I'm on the inaugurals for both Scarlet Lady and Mardi Gras.  Thinking 75% & 98% they'll go.

 

The only thing I'm worried about is missing something on these brand new ships.

Looking forward to our first two sailings on the Excellence Class ships.  August of 2021 on the Mardi Gras and January of 2023 on the Celebration.

180,000 tons will be the largest ships we have cruised on, surpassing the 169,000 tons of the Breakaway Plus Class ships from NCL that we have sailed on, the Escape and the Bliss.

That's the only major drawback to being on an inaugural,  you can't do research ahead of time and get feedback from previous cruisers.

that I why I am so excited to sail MG next winter.  I will have , hopefully , reviews/ pics/ menus/ etc to read up on before I sail.

I am looking forward to my first trip to Alaska on the Freedom in May 2021, we ended up going with the Captain's suite. Hopefully it was a good choice.

My next Carnival cruise is for April 2021 on the Breeze. It was supposed to be on the Radiance but the ship was changed because the renovation wouldn't be completed in time. I will be going to St Maarten, St Kitts, PR, and GT. I've never been to any of these ports before. My only other cruise before was on the Valor in December to Cozumel and Progreso. I'm excited for everything. I didn't do anything cruisey on my last one. I might even try my luck in the casino since I have an unexpected $200 in OBC. I want to try craps and roulette.

I am really glad this thread is so positive! I am catching myself looking at the Glory all the time even though i have already been on her. Hoping that Carnival will bring a newer ship to New orleans again. Was very nice to have the dream for a while

On Breeze check out Thrill Theatre!  It's multi-dimensional movies.  Enjoy!!

Had a March cruise cancelled, got a refund, no intention to book until ships started sailing again. Went to Vegas to use up vacation time in July and Sept and it wasnt the same of course. A few weeks ago saw $50 deposits and couldnt hold out. Booked the Dream on a 8 night eastern Carribean out of Galveston August 28-Sept 8 2021 with the hope it would be far enough out for things to get back to normal. Usually have only booked a couple of months beforehand.  Get to drive to port and got an inside spa cabin for a few bucks more than a regular inside.

Our next cruise on the Panorama is booked for early November 2021. This will be our first cruise in an INTERIOR cabin and our first cruise with acess to the Havana [Haven?] area. We are excited but just a little bit nervous of having an inside cabin. Was thinking about switching back to a window cabin with 2 bathrooms [that is what we ussually do [there are 4 of us] It is not in the budget to do  other than an interior and still have access to the Havan[Haven?] area. 

 

I have heard so many positives about the Havana [or is it Haven?] area, but wonder if it is worth staying in an inside cabin. Any input would be appreciated.

 

I know that we are over a year out, but in a month we will be less than a year out, and that is when I start getting excited, spending time planning my cruise a little bit every day.

February 20, 2021 on the Panorama.  We cruised on her this past February while she was still a "new" ship,  she'll still be practically new!

We are in a 4J (OV cabin facing the front of the ship, under the bridge, and a very short walk to a “secret” deck that is usually deserted).  We really enjoy “odd” cabins.

 

Leaving some beer behind won’t be a problem, but hoping I don’t also leave some of my money behind in the casino!  I will tell you where to send it in case you find it 😂

I thought Scarlet Lady already did a few cruises overseas? Like another poster mentioned, my wife and I are curious to get feedback from passengers once she starts sailing from the states. The thought of an adults only cruise is very appealing.

An interior can be manageable if you know some "inside" tricks e.g. leave the TV on while sleeping to the channel with the bow camera video feed. Your cabin will gradually light up with the dawn of the new day shown on the TV. A Google and Youtube search will be helpful to you for inside cabin tips. We enjoyed the Panorama in February and we walked around the interior portion of the Havana area and liked the seating in the lounge near the band stand.

Most recent cruises on the Carnival brand were prior to 2000. All very enjoyable. We are very much looking forward to the 12/04/2021 sailing on Mardi Gras. It is so nice living in close proximity to Port Canaveral where a quick 30 minute drive up A1A gives us access to several nice cruise ships.

 

There is a big, beautiful new cruise terminal awaiting the Mardi Gras arrival. For those of you who have not yet cruised from Port Canaveral, it is the best most convenient cruise port in Florida. Our 12/04/2021 sailing is all about the ship, getting up close and personal with a new lady in the neighborhood. Glad that Carnival decided to have her take up residence here. She will provide lots of enjoyment for lots of good folks. Enjoy everything she has to offer.

Thanks for the positive start to my day! I have two Carnival cruises in 2021 both with DD and DGD. I am excited to experience the Havana Cabana on the Panorama. I am also looking forward to our aft Balcony on the Radiance. Feeling very blessed to be able to spend this time at sea cruising!

The problem with the TV trick is it makes the room too bright at night, at least to our liking. We stayed in interior cabins when we first started cruising, but once we tried a balcony cabin we were hooked on them. I think staying in a Havana interior isn’t a bad option if you consider the Havana pool area as your “balcony”.
 

However, there is no way we will book anything other than a balcony cabin for the forseeable future. If it gets to the point where passengers are forced to stay in their cabins for an extended period, which is a possibility these days but hopefully not likely, having a balcony will at least help us keep our sanity. I can’t imagine what it would be like being confined to an interior cabin.

There must have been a full moon on your cruise, never a problem on our sailings. Vicky - check the lunar calendar before booking 😉

I was referring to the ambient light the TV puts out when it is on. It’s not much but it’s enough to keep the room from being very dark, which we like.

Unlike just about everyone else, I'm not going to plan and get excited about something that may not happen.

 

My fun time is sometime in the future.  I'm not sure if the ship is even built yet.  But, I splurged on the cabin....probably a suite spa cabin.

Right now I'm in the buffet, eating some kind of chocolate fudge cake.  And then it's off to the gym/spa to work it off.

I'm talking to another woman at the buffet, reminiscing about "cruises not taken". 

After that I'm going to the show, a nice production show, with all the bells and whistles.

Next stop, the casino.

Then it's to bed....I have "running around the port" plans for tomorrow.
