We're very pleased to welcome Chris Prelog to our Cruise Critic Windstar Cruises forum; we hope you'll also welcome him with open arms. 

 

From a shipboard waiter aboard Seabourn Legend to President of the small ship cruise line that now owns it as Star Legend, Chris Prelog is at home as head of Windstar Cruises. He brings more than 20 years of cruise related job experience to Windstar which he joined in 2017 as Vice President of Fleet Operations. He quickly worked his way up to Chief Operations Officer before being promoted to President in September 2020.  

Prelog earned a bachelor’s degree from the Higher Tourism Institute in Austria and several certificates from the Florida International University in Miami in hotel management and accounting, Harvard’s Kennedy School and Cornell University. After graduation, he worked at several Austrian hotels including the Vienna Hilton before his debut as an up-and-comer in the cruise industry, starting in 1998 as an assistant maître d’ hotel aboard Seabourn Legend. 

Prelog’s work has been recognized with top awards and resounding accolades by cruise guests and industry insiders including travel agents and top travel publications. Prior to coming to Windstar Prelog was Vice President of Hotel Operations and Purchasing at Seabourn. Chris is also a member of the Culinary Institute of America’s invitation-only Society of Fellows.
