CruiserBruce Posted November 19, 2020 #4 Share Posted November 19, 2020 Side of the ship doesn't matter. The scenery is huge, and on all sides of the ship.

It is essentially across the hall from the Neptune Lounge. That is the area that I've been reserving the past few cruises. Very convenient to the Lounge and it's snacks/canapes and an outstanding coffee machine. The concierges in the Lounge are exceptionally helpful with ship information and for resolving any problems that might come up.
ScottC4746 Posted November 20, 2020 Author #6 Share Posted November 20, 2020 Last time we were Aft and hardly used the lounge because it was such a schlep and different floor.

JeffElizabeth Posted November 23, 2020 #8 Share Posted November 23, 2020 We love it when we can afford to upgrade to the Neptune. Such great service in the Neptune Lounge.

Maybe a door slam or two...but generally not a problem, as the Neptune Lounge closes no later than 8pm each day, and opens at 7am. As the Neptune Suite has the bathroom on the hallway side of the cabin, you don't hear much from the hallway.

Just like it can be quiet (or not) in any given place on a ship, sometimes it's relatively quiet across from or nearby the NL and sometimes there are loud talkers and door slammers. 😏 We've experienced both. Luck of the draw.
DaveOKC Posted January 17, 2021 #12 Share Posted January 17, 2021 I love being across from the Neptune Lounge - never a noise problem (in my experience) and so convenient.
BobbiSox Posted January 17, 2021 #13 Share Posted January 17, 2021 My favorite place to be, in a suite across from the lounge! I have never been disturbed by the other lounge guests. The doors don't slam, and are usually left open for most of the operating hours. It's known to be a quiet place to relax. You'll find yourself utilizing the lounge more frequently too, because you don't have to hike to get to it. I usually take my selections back to my suite to enjoy them, so being that close is really convenient. You're in for a real treat!
Rare crusinbanjo Posted January 17, 2021 #14 Share Posted January 17, 2021 Mrs Banjo and I always go for a suite that is closed to the Neptune lounge....... for all the reasons listed above!
ScottC4746 Posted January 18, 2021 Author #15 Share Posted January 18, 2021 We hardly used the Lounge because we were aft and I think two decks down so it wasn't convenient. It was easier running up to the Lido Cafe for coffee in the morning than to go to the Lounge.
zelker Posted January 19, 2021 #16 Share Posted January 19, 2021 (edited) Mediocre at best coffee from the Lido vs free espresso-based coffees or higher end teas from the Neptune Lounge ... no comparison, I'd make the walk. 😉 Edited January 19, 2021 by zelker

We've never stayed in an aft suite but we use them when the Neptune Lounge is closed. We always ask our stateroom attendants to leave us extra pods and sugar, then bring a carton of milk down from the Lido to keep in the fridge.
