Refund processing time tracking thread (October 2020 and beyond)

Didn’t see any recent threads on refund tracking so thought I would start one. 
 

Does anyone have any recent data points for how long your refund took (back to your credit card) for cruises canceled by Royal Caribbean due to COVID?

 

Please don’t post about refund times from earlier this year, as things were much more chaotic and different then. I’m most interested in the recent cancellations starting from October and beyond.

Had a Alaska may 2021 booked with refundable deposit, cancelled and got credit card refund in less than a week, was booked directly thru RCL

Just over a week now since I requested the refund and still no refund back yet.
 

Although overnight I did get an email from Royal stating my cruise planner purchases are being refunded so that might be a good sign it’s coming.

I received my rcl cancelled dec cruise refund in less than 2 weeks.  

My jan sailing that was recently cancelled I'm still waiting for but dont remember what date I called to request refund.  They said the usual wait is 45 days but I received all of my cruise refunds in 2 to 3 weeks throughout 2020.

Has anyone heard anything about their cancelled Infinity sailings Jan 2022? My email dated Nov. 19th said that if I want a refund just “do nothing”. I didn’t expect a quick refund, however, I have received no acknowledgement of my choice whatsoever (TA has been no help🤨🤪).

I got my refund from Celebrity in less than 1 week for our canceled Summit Jan 2022 cruise.

Latest round of cancellations:  Nine days from submission of request to full refund hitting my credit card.

Cruise planner refunds took 8-10 days for two cruises that I cancelled. Still waiting for the FCC for the deposits on both cruises.

Yesterday I received a refund in 7 days of the cruise cost minus deposit of a cancelled Feb 2021 Australia cruise.

recent experience - 

 

We had 2 December cruises  cancelled  on November 2, 2020.  Both were booked through Casino Royale.    We immedialty asked for a full  refund ( taxes and fees and what we paid to upgrade the cabin).  The full   refund for both   was posted to our credit card on November 10, 2020.     Of course the refunds came in at several different amounts but they added up  to the correct refund expected.  AMAZING... just EIGHT DAYS!

 

We had 2  more cruises for January and February that were  cancelled  on December 2.  Waiting for the requested  refund for those.

Thanks for the data points.  We too are waiting on refunds we requested on Dec 2nd. Hopefully just a few more days now.

Part of the Nov cancelled sailings in Oct with $1000 deposit.  Received $500 within two weeks.  Still waiting for the additional $500.

Received refund on Dec 14 for one  cruise cancelled on December 2.    Learned  I had not requested a refund for the other   cancelled  cruise and made the refund request on December 9. 

 

I am happy with the current track record of refunds.

Still haven’t received my refund for the one I requested on Dec 2nd. Hopefully tomorrow?

I Lift & Shifted my cruise, but the Cruise Planner Refund for the pre-paid stuff was confirmed on December 5 and hit my Capital One credit Card on December 14.

I had a Jan 2 sailing that was cancelled Dec 2. Opted (rather, did nothing) for the 125% FCC. Still waiting for the taxes/fees, gratuities, and cruise planner purchases to be refunded. No refund as of yet. Also haven't recieved the FCC yet either. Wondering if they will both come on the same days. For anyone that opted for FCC, did you get your refunds and FCC on the same day?

Not likely.    I would call back and make sure the  refund request  was processed.

I books through a TA - not sure if that makes a difference.

I have always found TA get more done than the average person you call on the phone (Just my experience -may not be everyone's).
